Hi my name is Tami. I am trying to print out some paper for my class and I hit print on my laptop and it didn't respond. I went to control panel and checked to see if it is connected to the printer that I am using and it shows that it is. Therefor I don't know why it is not responding. Any suggestions..?

I have ink in my printer but when i hit print it wont print anything out, just a blank sheet of paper

Hi,
If you didn't used your inkjet printer for a long time the most common problem is that the nozzles of the cartridges are clogged with ink, so no ink can go down to the paper and that's why you see a blank sheet of paper. The other option is that you think you have ink in the cartridges but in fact it was finished.
I suggest you to replace the cartridges.
Hope this helps

Trying to print microsoft excel spreadsheet printer keeps saying load tray A4 both trays have paper whats going on

This isn't actually a problem with the printer, but with Excel's print preferences.

In Excel, select File->Print to bring up the print dialog.
Select your Dell 3100 if it's not the default, and then hit the Properties button just to the right of the printer name.
On the printer properties dialog, there's a field named "Paper size"
Click on that field and select "Letter (8.5 x 11 in)" You may have to scroll to find this selection.

Hit OK to close the printer properties dialog, then hit OK to print your worksheet.

If this helps, be sure to hit the "thumbs-up" for me!

Hi dep209
Clear all the documents in the printer queue. To do this go to the printer folder.
You can do this going to the Control Panel
Click on Printers
Click on the name of your printer to open the folder
If few documents are listed there cancel all of them.
Then turn the printer of and on again
Now try to print
Hope this will help you.

Unable to cancel print queue

You can cancel a print job from within Windows by going to Control Panel -> Printers and double-clicking on the appropriate printer. Right-click the print job you want to cancel and select Cancel from the context menu. Anything already sent to the printer will continue to print.

You can also cancel a print job from the printer by pressing Cancel on the control panel. This applies to whatever is currently printing.
(You may want to remove any paper from the paper tray first.)

Clicking the cancel print icon stops the job from continuing to spool, but whatever is still in the printer's memory will continue to print until exhaused or the job is cancelled from the printer's control panel.

If you can't see the lights on the panel it might be the power adapter or the connection at thre printer itself

Datamax E class

Go to Control Panel > Pritners and Faxes. You should be able to see your printer there. You can check and ask it to print a test page.
