This is a roomba 560. First started acting crazy, ''even ''singing'' on the base. No no power at all, no clean botton light at all, the base turns green when you put it in there like charging ... The baterry measures little over 14V. I tried to reset it but no change...

Something is blocking the battery current and preventing the Roomba from running.

Low voltage contacts can be blocked by thin films formed by condensible organic outgassing in the home environmental (That's the yellowy haze that slowly builds up on the wall paint.)

Try cleaning the battery contacts with a little rubbing alcohol or contact cleaner on a foam swab, or a bit of paper towel. Take a litle time, it doesn't always dissolve instantly. (Don't use a pink pencil eraser, it would scrub off the plating that prevents corrosion) Clean both contacts on the battery pack and both of the contacts in the Roomba. Make sure the battery is oriented correctly when you put it back in.

If that doesn't help, the battery itself can be defective such that it has a very high internal resistance and can only charge and discharge very slowly. It can be fully charged, and unable to deliver that charge at a pace that allows the Roomba to operate. Sometimes its possible to rehabilitate such a battery by conditioning it over several charge and discharge cycles, and sometimes its ineffective. Since thr Roomba won't run you'd have to use a something like a 20 to 50 ohm power resistor to drain the pack to 10v before charging it.

Of course as your description suggests, its also possible the processor has a fault and you need to buy a new one.

My Roomba 500 series, when I press it to start, it wants to and then makes a singing song and does not go forward

Be sure that you clean the brushes and wheels under the unit. If they have material wrapped around them the unit will not proceed.

Yes, this is known issue and if your bumper moves freely, you might be facing a sensor fault caused by poor quality of components.

Roomba 560, the small red light above the schedule button will not reset and the roomba will not run. The problem started when I the roomba sat dead for 12 hours. I tried the spot dock reset trick with no...

You should start by removing the "belly plate" of the Roomba and simply removing the battery to cycle power to the unit. If that does not solve the problem, it sounds like you need a replacement circuit board for the 560. That's alot trickier since iRobot doesn't like to sell those...they want you to send to them for service.
Your options would be to send to a reputable Roomba repair center like www.protechrobotics.com or you can buy a replacement PCA from places like www.RoboticVacParts.com and replace yourself.
