Depends on the software. Usually if you click on the start button and go to program you can click on the programs that are loaded. After that, when the programs come up there will be a help icon on the menu.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

Use a Windows install disc. It should create a new install, but keep the old install as a separate folder.

Everything is wiped out and there's absolutely no files or pictures or music or anything. I really want them all back! Please help me step by step with my computer! It's known to be XPS 410 PC...

How did the computer get this way?

You'll have to gauge how important the data you've lost is to you, as it's fairly expensive to have a drive recovered through a data recovery service.

There is software that may recover some or all of your lost files, but you would want to install and use the software from another computer to read the drive that you're trying to recover data from.

I haven't used my Optic Fil 7200i (plustek) since upgrading to Windows7. Also, I have moved and my software disk didn't make it in the move! Is there a way to get one mailed to me: Bailey...

Hi,

You can purchase the software disk from this link:
http://plustek.com/usa/buy-parts-and-accessories.html

Alternately, you can download the installation software/driver free of cost from the manufacturer's download website by clicking this link

On the page which opens, enter OpticFilm 7200i in the Serach box under "Option 1: Search By Product Name" and click the Search button (See attached image)

Then select OpticFilm 7200i from the results window. Download the driver in .zip format from the list which opens. After the download completes, extract the .zip file to open the driver file.

Here is the direct link to the driver file.

Hope this solves your problem. Thanks for using FixYa.

When I start my computer back up my home screen and icons aren't coming up. Instead I seem to be having trouble with the "Privacy Center". It scans but doesnt seem to help or solve anything and I ha

If possible, try to restart the computer into Safe Mode (After the Dell splash screen appears when you turn on the computer, press F8 to bring up the boot selection menu, and select Safe Mode). If you are able to get through the startup procedure in Safe Mode, you can attempt to uninstall the software by clicking on Start -> Control Panelda791b6.jpg and either double-clicking "Programs and Features", or click on the "Uninstall a Program" link on that Control Panel page (the icons and lists will vary depending on whether or not) 50a92f7.jpg

This should generate a list of programs that are currently installed on your computer, and from this list you can find the offending software, and double-click on it to begin uninstalling the program from your computer. Once all of the offending software has been unsintalled, you can then restart your computer normally and see if that resolves the issue.

Screen does not work

Did you try to start in safe mode? Turn on the laptop and start tapping the <F8> key. This will bring you to a menu with different options and select ‘Safe mode”. If that doesn’t work, try connecting an external monitor to the laptop. You may have to select the video output to display on the external monitor by holding down the blue <FN> key and pressing the blue CRT/LCD (located on one of the <F> keys, like F8,F9, etc..).
If the laptop display works in safe mode, then you probably have a video software driver problem.
If the display works on the external monitor in normal mode, then you probably have a problem with either your LCD panel.
Hope this helps.
By the way, the "9" led with the pad lock means your "Num Lock" is enabled.
