Question about Seagate FreeAgent Go 250 GB USB 2.0 Hard Drive
I just bought a brand new FreeAgent, and I didn't realize I should have copied the installer to desktop first. now I can't partition the Ext. HD. Is there any chance I can download the an installer for mac OS X?
I am rusty on Mac's and can't offer any specific help, but I am wondering if your problem is in fact not a partitioning problem, but something else.
In the case that it is a partitioning problem, most operating systems (I assume OS X follows the herd on this one) have a partitioning tools on them somewhere. Have you tried formatting the drive?
Also, I hope you take no offense to this, but are you sure it's "partitioning" you're having a problem with, and not "reading", "writing", "formatting", "installing", or "mounting"?
You could try the company's website for tools that should let you do what you need to in order to get the drive to work.
