Question about HP Pavilion dv9000z Notebook
Try to re-install windows installation cd/dvd and all drivers that came with computer....this should automatically re-install the correct entry point processes into laptop.....make sure you back up all of your settings and documents,pics etc on dvd/cd first incase windows automatically formats over them...

I have the same problem as you and im in the process of fixing it
I researched it and found this...

Use the instructions on how to clean boot your Windows and it should work...
