I have a 2002 pontiac grand am- with the 2.2L it just stoped and wont restart.ive checked all the fuel system.ck all fuses,the securty light came on a few days ago.and now it will start{sometimes}and then dies.it seams to start in netural more,but then after a few seconds it quits????can any one help..?could it be the in Ignition switch or maybe the B.C.M.

If your security light is coming on then you need to get the codes.The theft deterrent system will do this.It shuts off the fuel.You will need to get the codes from the theft deterrent system.Then go from there.

try replacing fuel pump relay in fuse box , also turn key forward till dash lights come on with out starting it see if u hear fuel pump , if not most likely fuel pump when out

2002 Grand pirx se will not start
Are the injectors opening?Use a NOID light and check for an injector electrical pulse.Or give it a shot of quick start,if it runs a bit and you do have fuel pressure the injectors may NOT be opening.(getting an electrical pulse)

I have a 02 pontiac grand am ive had this happen 3 times since ive changed the fuel pump in it say ill drive to work it will be fine when i go to start the car it wont start and i wont here the fuel pump...
Most of the time on GM vehicles, a "no start" can be traced back to the anti theft security system. When this system starts to fail, it will actually disengage the starter. THE HARD PART IS DIAGNOSING IT. Check out this link for info and some "do it yourself" solutions.

The power windows stoped working and the radio wont shut off
check your fuses for the windows. the off/on knob on the radio needs cleaned. buy a can of contact cleaner from radio shack and spray in and around knob area. sounds like the contact is stuck. hope this helps....check back

Car wont start at times
try checking the ignition fuse in the fuse box unde the hood. if it doesn't have a good connection or if there is a short it could cause the car not to start. my grand am is doing the same thing and i tried cleaning the connection of the fuse, but i think i may have to replace the fuse box because there might be a short.

Is the security light active? If yes it will have to get reprogrammed by the GM dealer as GM has this as a propriatory system... Meaning no one else can work on it.
