How do i repair an ASUS z53E motherboard?

Have you confirmed that it is indeed the laptop? (IE attached another power supply of same voltage/amperage) Sometime, cords can become frayed inside the laptop power supply cable and not show any outward signs. This wear and tear leads to unstable power and the laptop senses this and will not boot.

If you have, have the laptop checked at a local repair shop to see if it is a loose connection on the motherboard. Ports coming loose from the motherboard because of wear and tear is very common.

My fan on my Acer Aspire 3000 laptop does not work. I purchased a new fan, but I am having a problem removing the existing fan. How do I remove the existing cooling fan?

You have to tear down the laptop to get to the cpu fan. You have to remove the cpu heatsink also to get to the fan. It is allot of work.

More likely you will have to tear down the laptop to get to the CPU fan. If you have never torn apart a laptop I suggest you take it to a local repair shop.

How do i get to the fan

Getting access to your CPU fan depends on the model of your laptop.

You can start by looking here for tear-down instructions for various models of laptop. If you cannot find them here You may have to do some extra research.

How to clean the fan on a toshiba satellite

If you do not want to tear the system down, just power the laptop down, remove the battery, push the power button for 10 seconds to bleed off the power . Now go and get some compressed air used to clean electronics, you can get it in cans at an office supply company. Using short bursts, blow air in the laptops ventilation grills, using short bursts will keep condensation from blowing out and onto the laptop and also keeps the fan from free spinning and damaging itself. Blow air in all the grills several times over, that mosts the dust and hair back and forth and works it out of the grills, fins and fan blades.

Broken fan on compaq

don't keep running it until you replace the fan. Look for one on ebay or around the web. It is shutting down because of heat. A $20 fan could cost you your whole laptop if you keep running it.
