Model GX2FHDXYB Freezer on the bottom Trio

  • mo7337 Nov 19, 2009

Thanks, The Whole thing is brand new. delivered Tue.
Do not spend alot of time on this as It is going back monday. I was just hoping that someone may know of shipping cardboard or fan that is taped in shipping or something else that I could check. I am an industrial electrician. But did not want to tear into a brand new refer that I just paid good money for. Thanks again
The Model number is Clearly printed GX2FHDXVBO2 The Y should have been a V sorry it was my handwritung (I had to drop the 02 to find it online) SER.# K3627875

  • mo7337 Nov 19, 2009

If I put my ear to the compressor I know it starts, not sure it stays running. I put the cover back on. I just looked for obvious stuff like something not plugged in. There was a loose piece of plastic, looked like it may have been stopping the fan from spinning for awhile. Not sure where it goes.

GX2FHDXYB does not come up can you try and see if the model number is smeared somewhat. If not I will try to compare with a Trio

OK Thanks, That is why I ask what is new. I'm glad you told me the whole story. It will be treated as a rejected refrigerator once they get it and packing should not be your responsibility. Still good to get the corrected model number because I have about 20 website and 4 domains. The Trio has had a bumpy history but that is hopefully the past. So now the Trio has become a Whirlpool Gold. model GX2FHDXVB don't worry too much about the packing just be thankful it was not a real serious problem.Keep me bookmarked I may need you engineering expertise! Thanks, Sea Breeze

Hey Thank You! It set me straight on the model also. I did find it through Whirlpool and between me and you and the rest of the world they are a good company. There is only one company I don't recommend and I have already stirred up enough trouble with them. So if my name pops up in a Google Search you will see. Anyway Thanks For The Rate! Sea Breeze

Brand new refrigerator not working

The fridge gets its cold air from the freezer through a vent(damper) between the freezer and fridge. The fan in the freezer blows air through it. There is a flap you adjust with the fridge temp. control. Make sure it's opening and closing when you adjust the fridge temp and that the fan in the freezer is running when the compressor runs.
