Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Im trying to set up the game counter strike source but when I download it and click on it it brings me to a website called steam and doesnt let me play?

You need a steam account, all you have to do is sign up with Steam (which is free). However, if you have downloaded this game, chances are it may not work because majority of steam users actually download their games via steam (they pay using a credit card, and are then able to download a fully certified legal game).
I would suggest signing up for a Steam account and trying to play. If that doesn't work, there are a few ways you can by pass it.
ONLY playing LAN games is one. (Or in this case, pretending to only play LAN games.)
You can do this by:
1. Downloading Garena, Hamachi or Leaf. These are programs that let you play LAN games. (Supposed LAN games, because actually you're playing internationally, just like if you were on a console, but you are tricking the PC to thinking it's a LAN game, as well as fooling the game itself.) I would suggest downloading Garena as it works really well and has the major mainstream PC games. (Plus it is easy to use.)
Just go here:
http://www.en.garena.com/main/

They will give you instructions on how to download Garena, create an account, as well as other information you need.
Hope this helps!

Computer monitor is blank. No signal is received at any time. Currently using motherboard VGA port. I tried 2 different monitors and 2 different VGA cables. I then installed a new graphics card but still...

Disconnect all PCI Cards and unplug power to all Drives then reboot your computer using the motherboard VGA port to see if the monitor will POST. If you still have a blank screen you most likely have a bad motherboard.

Signal lost usually means the cable is lose that connects the monitor to the back of your computer.
with the computer off and unplugged , disconnect the monitor cable from the video port on the back of the computer and physically inspect the pins to make sure they are not bent on the monitor end.
some monitors have the same plug on both ends , so it doesn't hurt to check the monitor side of the cable.
Once the cable has been checked, if the cover is off the computer, i would check all cables and add-in card to make sure they are fully in thier slots and ports.
check memory for the same issues.
If your monitor is a multi-function device , make sure you didnt forget to hit the source button on it , could be on the wrong input.

No Real Time Sound from USB Port in Headphones

The problem is due to the design of the DELL Laptop itself. It is not dsigned to monitor the incoming signal. I bought a cheap Behringer UCA202 USB-Audio Interface. It provides for real time monitoring the incoming sound. I can also hear the accompanying music while I play along with pre-existing tracks. It's not the highest quality but it was only 25$ so well worth the price.

Laptop Boot Problem

It seems all Compaq laptops are infected by this problem. If you are sure that the AC port and the AC adapter is working? Can you hear the laptop trying to boot? ..e.g. Hard Drive spinning up, Floppy Disk Drive noise, etc.. if so ...Try hooking up a external monitor.. Does it smell like anything has burnt? (Call for service) Is there anything that sounds loose when you shake it? (Call for service or you can to open it?) Try booting your laptop from a bootable floppy if you have one. Or use Compaq's Recovery CD. But I doubt if you use recovery CD, you might lose data on your HDD. Which O.S. are you using? The Boot-up mechanism checks all the hardware before starting Windows. Some times floppy drive doesn't allow the laptop to boot further by either not responding or sending wrong signal.
