Start by checking your input power for a full 240volts,then check the terminal block for any burned off power input wires, then check power connections all the way thru the oven control and finally check for "hot-spots" in both elements(highly unlikely that both would be bad) its a discolored area that is a high resistance area not passing full operating power thru element(s)

Maytag aqualift range is not getting very hot

your Maytag range has only a single heating element located at the top of the oven, it is likely a "broil" element, which is used primarily for cooking food close to the top of the oven. The lower heating element, which is typically used for baking and roasting, may be hidden beneath the oven floor or located at the bottom of the oven.
If your oven is not getting very hot, it is possible that the broil element is malfunctioning and needs to be replaced. However, if the oven is not heating evenly or is not getting hot enough to cook food properly, it may be a more complex issue related to the temperature sensor, the control board, or other components.
To diagnose and repair the issue, it is recommended to have the range serviced by a qualified technician, who can properly identify the model and locate the faulty component. The model number of your range can typically be found on a label inside the oven door, on the back of the range, or on a storage drawer beneath the oven.

I have GE model#JKP45WOP2WG double oven wall unit. Lower oven isn't heating up properly. Bottom of lower oven doesn't seem as hot as the top of the oven... replaced oven sensor, not

Most double wall ovens are technically two separate oven boxes. The lower oven box has its bake, boil elements, high limit thermostat and ofcourse its own oven sensor. If the lower oven box boil is working good and less heat on bake feature may suggest that the bake element is burned out and only getting preheated with boil element. Just a suggestion here

The heating element becomes red hot,but the food doesn't appear to cook in an appropriate time os fashion. Any answers or suggestions

The top of whatever food you're cooking should be in the center of the oven for the most effective cooking. Do you have the oven set on bake or broil? Broil is a direct heat method and if the food is on the lower shelf and the oven is set on broil, the food is not getting enough heat to cook it properly. Baking heats the lower element and the heat rises to surround the food. Broiling heats the top element and since heat rises, it is not getting down to the food to surround it and cook it.

My oven still doesnt work after replacing heating element

it could either be a hot spot in the element where it can no longer pass all the current needed for proper operation in heating(look for a discolored spot on it,it may be whitish and dimpled from heat) or secondly,it could be the oven thermocouple located on the inside top of the oven cavity

Oven takes 20 minutes to fully heat on bake - Kenmore oven plt095-2

if its a gas model most of the time you will have a weak oven ignitor. if an electric, check to see if the bake element gets hot ,some ovens will bake with upper and lower elements so if only the upper works it will take much longer to pre-heat.good luck!

Oven doesn't reach temperature setting

It could be the plug/receptacle that the element plugs into. It could also be that the elements have separate thermostats and that the one for the lower element is bad. If you can post the model number I can look at the electrical schematic and know for sure if it has one or two thermostats.

Kenmore oven lower element sporadically heating.

When the food you're baking is done on top but not on the bottom--or when baking just takes far too long to finish--the bake element may be burned out.

You may get fooled into thinking it's working, because the oven is hot inside. But many electric ovens use the broil element, too, during the preheat and bake cycles. So the food may be getting heated only by the broil element, which causes poor baking results.

If the bake element is burned out, replacing it should solve the problem. Otherwise, you need to further troubleshoot the oven's electrical system to locate the defective wire or component.

Kenmore 4042990 built in oven not heating properly

that stove doesn't have a thermostat, everything runs through the clock assy, and that board isn't made anymore there's a sensor that could be bad the sensor tells the computer board or clock assy. same thing how hot it is in the oven but you can't get that either the stove is just to old they don't make parts for it anymore but first thing, when you put it on bake does both elements get hot?when you bake both elements are used bake and broil if it's taking a long time to heat up one of the elements could be bad,and you can still get the elements, first run it on broil and see if the element gets hot if it does then put it on bake and see if the element turns red when it's on,you could have a burnt wire that connects to the element and it's not fully heating, you're only getting 110 volts to it not 220 or either one of the elements are bad and the oven isn't heating up to temp. but if the elements are good you can't get any other parts for that model and that is 911.4042990 correct sorry for the bad news but hopefully it's just a bad element good luck
