I have an Infocus 820 and it starts up just fine and it shuts down after it has been on for 2 or more minutes, do you know why its doing this? And it has a green light, not red.

Lamp or ballast is bad. if the lamp has bulges or black spots in the center, chances are it's the ballast/power supply.

The projector will power up and run for a minute and then powers back off. It will occasionally restart on it's own.

Maybe start with a good clean out first.

I tend to use those cans of air meant for computers but dont poke the nozzle in too far !

If it still has issues then its time to start opening her up to check the fan and such.

Infocus lp820 i press power can not hear any fan moving lamp turn on with gray light after 10 sec lamp shut off and message says "fan stopped"

you need to replace the fans; they may have burned out. you could try to get one from an infocus service center or send it to them for repair, but know that this is an old machine and parts may not be available. you could try getting a used one on ebay that has a different problem and swap out the parts. if you do decide to send it in or find new parts, try av solutions in ny. they're really good. www.avsolutionsny.com

Infocus LP820 - Turns on for 30sec then shuts down

This could be one of two problems I have seen with another model Infocus projector (they are very good projectors though)

The first is the video input. Make sure it is attached correctly at both ends of the cable.
The second, remove the dust covers and blow them out. The problem can arrise if the temperature sensor detects the air inside the unit is getting too hot. If you can see the sensor when the dust covers are off (it will look like a little lump of goo on the end of a wire) then just give it a wipe as well. If dust settles on those it can cause incorrect temps to be reported.

Hope that solves your poblem =)

InFocus LP725 light goes out after 10 minutes

The Projector will turn off after so many hours of running the same bulb module. The counter will turn on a replace bulb LED. Installing the new bulb module should reset the counter and turn off the LED.

Check the projector’s lamp to ensure that it is securely connected
in the lamp module. Make sure by removing it and reinserting it.

Check the cables for problems.

When testing, power up in this order. Projector, Computer monitor, Computer.

A minor power surge may cause the lamp to shut off. Turn the
projector off, wait at least 30 seconds, then turn it back on.

I hope these suggestions help
