The tv has been shorted out. you will need to replace the power board easy to do just take off the back cover and its the only board right in the middle with the power wires on the bottom . there are 4 screws to remove and unplug and label the wires and replace put back together and should be good as new.

I also zapped my Insignia TV while turning it off, due to ESD (Electro Static Discharge) The TV really should have much better ESD protection. My Insignia logo also just blinks between orange and blue. I left a message on the Insignia tech support page but still haven't rteceived a reply after several days, other than the automated messaege telling me they are experencing a high call volume.
I took my TV apart and found the Power supply board 12 volt lines were strobing back and forth along with the orange/blue logo at 24 volts and near zero. I have a few parts on the power supply board that I am going to replace (34cents each). Hopefully these will take care of the problem. but its too early to be sure as the Power Supply uses the 5 volt sense line and problems could exist on that line or from a component on the board which the on off switch connects to. I will let you know more as I find out more. Let me know how things turn out with your tech. I have taken lots of pictures so if a solution is found I will be able to diagram the solution.
