How much breathing space does a refrigerator need NONE, 1/2 inch or 1 inch above the top of the cabinet for air circulation. Sears has told me all 3. WHICH IS CORRECT?

For airflow it would be the back that needs clearance of a couple inches. Top of unit shouldn't matter. Inside the fridge itself if you plan on packing it as full as possible except for the amount space needed to allow airflow,. I would just atleast leave 1 inch on every side. But outside of fridge just leave clearance in back and front. Google manual and it will tell you

Refrigerator not Cooling ?

1. Make sure condenser is clean.

2. If you have a "static" condenser (black coil on back) make sure it has enough room around it for air to circulate. Not against the wall and if under cabinet should have about six inches clearance.

How high should the microwave be above the stove?

In our area the bottom of the cabinet that you are mounting it to needs to be a minimum of 66" from the floor. You should check around with someone in your area to see what local codes are for mounting your microwave. Most of the time this will put the bottom of your microwave anywhere from 16" to 20" above your stove. See the following link for a listing of many types of appliances and their clearance needs.

If you are seeing the bubbled paint on wall when you open the oven door, it is more than likely heat loss past the door gaskets. They are easy to install clip on gaskets

aHi,
You need to check the following to make sure your fridge is working properly:
Vent blockage - Air flows between the freezer and refrigerator sections to provide proper cooling via air vents.
Condenser coil - When the condenser coil is dirty it causes the sealed system to overheat and therefore the refrigerator will not cool properly.
Defrost Cycle - When the refrigerator goes into defrost, the cooling mode stops and a defrost heater energizes to remove accumulated frost from the evaporator (cooling) coil, which causes the freezer temperature to rise slightly.
Proper Air Circulation - Refrigerators require a specific amount of clearance around the cabinet to allow for air circulation. If the refrigerator does not have the minimum clearance required, the refrigerator cannot cool properly.
Hope this helps.

Presently have a regular hood, would like a microhood. How many inches clearance do I need between the top of the stove to the bottom of the cabinet?

This is a good question to ask at the point of sale. The measurement varies for different models and makes, but 33 - 36 inches is ideal. If you have a 12 or 15 inch tall cabinet above the stove, you are fine. A microhood does require a dedicated electrical circuit. When powewring off the current hood circuit, check to see if any other lights or outlets go off.
