Question about Philips 60PP9202 60" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television
Trying to figure out what is wrong with my Tv, and maybe I can fix it myself? Also how much (roughly) will it cost for a TV repair guy to repair? When I turn the TV on, the power button stays illuminates, but no pic or sound, and it chirps repededly. It chirps about 1 every 1/2 of a second. Is this a power supply related issue? It chirps like a mouse. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
My philips 60PP920217F does same thing w/chirping: i had it diagnosed as needing: High voltade generator ans a Horizontal output transistor. repaiman siad these work in tandum & if you only replace the generator in a few months the other part will go out. Ihave not found a place to buy these except from the repair shop I first contacted...their repair est. is $ 350.00

Yes it is a power supply related, it's chirpping usually something is shorted or using to much current draw, it's not nessassarly the power supply but something causing the power supply to do this.
