Velcro? Probably, the original battery failed a long time ago,
and some technician installed a replacement battery,
using Velcro(tm) to hold the replacement battery in place.

That replacement battery probably had two wires from the battery to two gold pins on the motherboard.

So, inspect the motherboard, and read the silk-screened labels, e.g., 'JP1' ("jumper #1").

Eliminate any sets of pins that have more than two pins in a line or in a grid.

Eliminate any two-pin pairs that currently have a jumper between the two pins.

Eliminate any pair of pins that is labelled 'J-something', e.g., 'J1' or 'JP2', because those pins are used to "set" something, rather than to apply the battery-voltage.

How many two-pin pairs are left? Hopefully, just "one".

There will be two pins on the motherboard (near where you see the velcro, probably) that say BATT and give you a + and a -
The battery is not one of the modern round ones.

Do you have an add-in video card installed? If so, you need to disable the on-board video in the BIOS. You can visit the ECS website for the manual, and download a mb BIOS update at: http://www.ecs.com.tw/ECSWebSite/Product/Product_Detail.aspx?DetailID=1093&MenuID=16&LanID=0

Hello here is the homepage:

http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/X58%20Extreme6/?cat=Manual

I think you have a ram problem:

1. Please install the memory module into the white slot (DDR3_A1,
DDR3_B1 or DDR3_C1) for the first priority.
2. Due to Intel CPU spec definition, the system will not boot if only
one DIMM is installed into DDR3_A2, DDR3_B2 or DDR3_C2 slot.
3. Due to Intel CPU spec definition, XMP DIMMs and DDR3 2000/
1866/1600 are supported for one DIMM per channel only.
4. You may install varying memory sizes in Channel A, Channel B and
Channel C. The system maps the total size of the lower-sized
channel for the dual-channel or triple-channel configuration. Any
excess memory from the higher-sized channel is then mapped for
single-channel operation.
5. It is not allowed to install a DDR or DDR2 memory module into
DDR3 slot; otherwise, this motherboard and DIMM may be
damaged.

Try only with one module, in the white slot.

Hope this will help you.

How to check my gigabyte mother board under warranty?

hi.there...

i read from your information and picture about your motherboard type..i think yours is not under warranty from factory anymore (GIGABYTE)

for additional information your mainboard (MB) is using old type of intel chip set (Intel 865 series) and only support intel processor type Pentium 4 with 478 pin with 533 MHz bus processor..

talking about warranty from factory GIGABYTE only give 3 years warranty only for MB with minimum chipset intel ICH 7 and up..that's mean MB must be support processor minimum 775 pin and 1155 pin or support intel Pentium D,Dual Core,Core2Duo or Core i series...

hope this is can help to solve your problem..

Old computer ram upgrade without manual

564 mhz means it is a Pentium 3 or equivalent. This also means that the motherboard does not support DDR2 RAM which is exclusively for Socket 775 and Pentium 4 chipsets. Pentium 3 usually support SD-RAM, also but very rarely DDR1 RAM. Sorry but DDR2 will not work in your PC.

Hi sackraj85, go to Intel's web site & download the drivers from Intel. Click this link to choose you're operating system.
(Intel D915GAGL MB).
http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Product_Filter.aspx?ProductID=1672&lang=eng

For Window Home & Pro click this link.
http://downloadcenter.intel.com/filter_results.aspx?strTypes=all&ProductID=1672&OSFullName=Windows*+XP+Home+Edition&lang=eng&strOSs=45&submit=Go%21
If you find this is not the correct MB drivers please list the correct Intel MB model.
I did notice the model number KD915GAGLBULK above which is the Intel D915GAGL MB.
