Question about Philips Televison & Video
What does the blinking red light mean? The television wont turn on and the light wont go away.
It means that you have probably blown a capacitor or 2 in the back of the set. Take the back panel off and look for the round capacitors that have a cross. If any of them are bulging, they are blown. You can order new ones at most electronic parts stores, just get all the readings off it, temp. range and farad readings. They cost less than a buck each. They need to be soldered onto the board.
