The controller is not connecting to the xbox but is turnin it on

Hi there,
You likely need to resync your Xbox 360 controller to the console. You should see a small button on the top of the controller near the battery cover. There's also a button on your 360. When you press that, the 360 will start to flash. Once it does, press the button on your controller to sync it.

Have second wireless controller xbox 360 does not recognize it .shows up as second person on screen then days plug in controller. never activates

if you have some sort of cable with which you can connect your controller to your console, it is best you try use it.
if you don't, here is what you would do.
1.switch off the console and all it's controllers.
2.differentiate between the two controllers.maybe tag them controller a and b
3.turn on the console again and switch on controller a first, wait and see if it synchronizes properly.
4.turn off controller a and switch on controller b and see if it synchronizes with your console properly.
5.if they both work separately, turn everything off and switch on again and try to use both controllers at the same time.
6.if it repeats the same thing, switch only one controller on and then when you turn on the other one, press the small button in front of the controller close to the right trigger button and also press a button that looks similar to it on the console. this should help you synchronize all the controllers.

I need help with wii, I don't really know how to turn it off? should I use the remote control to turn it off or should I turn it off from the console, I want to teach my boy how to do it the right way...

either works fine. i suggest customers use the remote control switch, the switch on the console is on a very flimsy pc board and it can crack over time or if pressed too roughly. if the switch in the remote breaks for some reason it's cheaper to replace a wii-mote than a console.

Xbox 360 controller not working, all 4 lights are blinking.

The wired and wireless controllers can be actively connected to an Xbox 360 console all at one time. Each connected controller is assigned a quadrant on the Ring of Light. Before you can connect a wireless controller, at least one quadrant must be free and will be unlit.

Connecting an Xbox 360 Wireless Controller to an Xbox 360 Console is called Connecting. To connect a controller to a console:
First, Press and hold down the Guide Button on the wireless controller until it turns on.
Second, Press and release the power button to turn the console on.
Third, Press and release the connect button on the console.
Fourth, Press and release the connect button on the controller.
Fifth, After the ring of light on the controller and console spin and flash once, the controller is connected. The quadrant that remains lit indicates the controller's position.

Four Green lights on the controller's Ring of Light flash continuously

The Please Reconnect Controller message appears on the monitor

There is interference and the controller does not respond properly

Step 1: Ensure that either the AA batteries are new or the Xbox 360 Rechargeable Battery Pack has a full charge.

Step 2: Ensure that you have performed the proper procedure to connect the Xbox 360 Wireless Controller to the console.

Step 3: If still experiencing issues, ensure there is a clear line of sight between the front of the console and the wireless controller. If there are any obstructions, especially metal objects, remove them.

Step 4: 2.4 gigahertz cordless telephones, microwave ovens, and Bluetooth headsets for cell phones can interfere with the operation of the wireless controller. Turn off or unplug those devices and then try to connect the wireless controller to the console again.

Step 5: If these steps did not resolve the issue, the wireless controller may need to be replaced.

When i try to turn the controller on, all four lights blink for awhile then turn off. but it won't turn my game on.

you need to sync it with your system. turned of, plug it to your console. Then wait a couple of seconds and turn it on. Once the lights stod blinking and the ligh indicate the number of controller assigned, unplug it.

360 controler not working properly

The batteries might be low. If you're using the rechargable batteries they might be bad. I've had some of my rechargable batteries go bad after only a few hours of gameplay and one charge. If their within one year old microsoft will replace the batteries at no charge.
