Re: C:13:01 Error Sony dsc-w50

Theres something wrong with the memory stick / card. See if the little "lock" tab on the card itself is in the unlocked position. The card may be bad too.

Sony cyber-shot dsc-w50 problem

It's a flash error. Could be flash fuse or flash board. If you have a multimeter and you're ready to open it, contact me at or contact your local Sony service center.

Sony cyber-shot dsc-w50 problem

When “FLASH error” (Self-diagnosis Code E : 91 : ** ) occurs, to prevent any abnormal situation caused by high voltage, setting of the
flash is changed automatically to disabling charge and flash setting.
After fixing, this setting needs to be deactivated. Flash error code can be initialized by the operations on the Setup screen.
Method for Initializing the Flash Error Code
Initializes the setting to the default setting.
1 Select [OK] with v on the control button, then press z.
The message “Initialize all settings Ready?” appears.
2 Select [OK] with v, then press z.
The settings are reset to the default setting.
• Make sure that the power is not disconnected during resetting.

I get an error message, E:91:01 blinking ,I can't find Reset bottom under LCD cover

It's flash error. Could be a dead flash fuse on the main board or bad flash board. Contact your local Sony service center, but if they ask too much, you can contact me at and I will give you a good price.

I've had my dsc w50 for about 2.5yrs and its just started the same milarky! Go to menu, set up 1 and re-initialise, it cleared for me then came back again. Went through the same process just now and error has gone for time being, although I think the flash is on its way to heaven. Some pictures are dark and others completely white out!!

Taking it in to the sony shop tomorrow to see if they can lend any advice - I hope it doesn't mean a new camera as I've not over used it....

Let me know how you get on

Error E91:01 on DSC H7

If the camera works in all other respects, then that has something to do with the flash setting or some other setting in the menus. But this sounds like something with the flash directly.

Here is a link which may be able to help on the DSC H7:

Try also to reset all the menu setting back to what it was for the factory. Most digital cameras have a setting for that, and usually is something like "RESET ALL" or something close to that.

If nothing works, then the camera needs repair. This is an error to do with the flash only, it appears. So some of the internal parts could be weak, thus causing the error.

hi there
you can try doing this and it should work and solve the problem for you

  1. Press Menu button
  2. togle across from REC Mode to setup
  3. togle down three times from camera to setup 1
  4. togle across into sub menu
  5. togle down from four times to Initialize
  6. togle across again to the sub-menu
  7. togle up from cancel to OK
  8. press center button to accept the OK choice
  9. Screen changes and so press okay again
  10. It should restart the camera
  11. Opening on the 'Clock Set' screen
  12. togle down to cancel and use the camera and make sure that you have the camera to flash, if it works try again in the Auto function.
  13. If it is still not working do not worry follow the steps again two or three more times, As this is generally a software error message and not a hardware malfunction.

Formate Error Sony Cyber Shoot DSC W50

This suggests one of 3 things. 1. Defective card, care fully clean the contacts or replace the card. 2 Dirty or defective card chamber contacts wrap apiece of clean paper around a card and carefully insert and remove several time into the chamber- thus attempting to 'polish' the contacts. take extreme care this is a very delicate area. 3. Firmware failure - there is no solution, replace the camera -unless it is under warranty Contact the Fuji technical support team at any rate.
