Same problem as all, we had a "pop" and it had red dots before it made the pop noise, repair guy has ordered two parts after we called LG. The TV we just purchased 2 weeks ego, still under full warranty. The repair guy told us it will take some time to get the parts in. I have a question for anyone or for "premtech" how many parts we should have him replace and will this fix the problem from going bad again. Please let me know and thanks for your help. Please email me at email@example.com
Plasma parts are currently alot on backorder, so it will take time to get them.is your repairguy ASC for LGE?? if not, take your TV to an ASC. they get the training and know what they are doing, not those wannabe repairman........

kenpogue, Yes, I'll just bet it's a "switch-mode-power-supply" that has failed because of some bad or poor quality electrolytic filter capacitors or poor quality of wave soldering of components on said printed circuit boards. Ask the service tech when you call him up, how many $100 bills you should have in your hand when he shows up!!! Prior to making the CALL, do yourself a favor and view some LCD repair vids at YOUTUBE first. The longer ones will be more imformative. You might even find one very similar to your own being repaired. Some of them are pretty good and you will learn a lot. You may even want to tear off the rear plastic panel to see what is inside your set as long as it is out of warranty?? Please pay particular attention to where these do-it-yourself-guys perform the task at hand. They and spouse may need to sleep on floor for a day or two!!! lol.... good luck guy. They (ZEC) laid me off over 10 yrs ago when Lucky Goldstar took over. Bye for now. 12fixlouie If this response was helpful, please rate on fixya.
it's your power supply that has gone. I had the same problem after owning my LG Z50PX2D for 2 months. The repair shop had it for 6 months. now I have the famous "POP & BLACK SCREEN SICKNESS" LG/Zenith should fix this.
I can just imagine how you feel. Sorry. Our TV, same make and model, just did the same thing today 9/19. Luckily we purchased an extended warranty but however are waiting two weeks for them to show up and who knows what is wrong and how long it will take to fix it?
This just happened to my Z50 yesterday...10 days after it came back from the repair shop! The first repair was for the "popping" problem where the tv makes a loud pop and the screen goes black. This took 6 weeks to get fixed. For this new problem the repair center is getting hold of LG to find out what to do. I am also calling them because I see this is a major problem that people have been experiencing out of warranty. The first customer service rep told me I was out of luck but I am not accepting that answer. Good luck, we'll both need it.
