Question about TruTech PVS2119 19 in. LCD Television

Remote Troubles My remote does not work for the television (changing volume/channels... etc) but the part of the remote used for the DVD player does work... any suggestions as to how to fix this problem?

    I have tried a universal remote and it worked for all of a day! :( And yes it is a factory remote that I am using (it's the one that came with the television)

    My remote (the factory one) does not work for anything - TV or DVD, volume, channels, menu, nothing. I hope someone can help!

    I just recently purchased a TruTech television set and the remote control was faulty from the moment I got it out of the box-the number 3, the channel down button and the power button all did not work. This is obviously a manufacturering problem. I tried to remedy this by purchasing a universal remote and tried for 8 hours to get it to work with the new TV to no avail-tried both methods: code entry and code search zip zilch nothing.

    I don't know whether to try purchasing another remote or try to get my money back.

Have you tried a universal remote for test? IF that works your problem maybe solved. Also is it the factory remote you are using. Keep me posted and we will go from there. Thank you Jay

    It could also be the IR sensor that is intermittant. Or bad solder connections on the PCB. This may help you as well. Let me know. Have a good day... Jay

Hi, remote not working and unable to change channels using tv buttons. other buttons on tv - volume etc are working fine
if your remote is for cable, then you have to push the cable button, then change channels. volume will work only on tv mode.

Is it the original remote that came with the TV? If you're using a universal remote or one that came with your audio receiver or DVD player or whatever then you may have accidentally switched modes to audio or something. Be sure the TV mode is selected.

No remote, front buttons don't work... how to change channels??
Hold down the MENU button on the control panel for more than 8 seconds to unlock buttons.

I Believe You Can Go To Channel 2 And Right Below Those Channels Are The 3 Video Channels Turn On Your Dvd Player And Go Through Them. If That Doesn't Work Try Looking At The Buttons On Your Tv For A Tv Video. Make Sure You Dont Have A Tv Video Button On Your Remote If You Do Then Just Click It Till You Find The Appropriate Video Channel.

I have a 20f511t RCA Tru Flat with FPA lock on, using an universal GE remote press setup, then menu, channel down to preferences, press enter, channel down to FPA LOCK, volume up to change to on or off, press menu to remove, all shoud work now

You need the original remote controller to be able to switch input modes.Universal ones usually don't work. If you don't have the original remote and can't find it ever or if it is too expensive you can buy an rf modulator ( very cheap) and connect your dvd player, game console etc) to the modulator then connect the modulator to your antenna with a coax cable. This worked for me. It placed the connection to channel 4 and other cable channels are still working,

How to access AV channel on Toshiba TV model 2125RA
some sets auto-go av when you plug a rca jackin the set, others have a switch in front or back , others you might set your channel to 00 or 99 or 100 forget and work different , I the owners manual of course would tell you. but I assume u dont have it . try hooking it and letting the dvd run now find it using the remote.
