Question about Televison & Video
Hi, TV will not start easily. Takes multiples (30+ sometimes) pushes of the power button (Akai remote or TV) to get the on light. When the on light comes on once, it takes another 10+ pushes of the power button for the TV to stay on. Akai LCT2721AD
Thanks for your help!
You only have to unplug it for 30 seconds. Also, make sure it does not have a DVD in it when you turn it off as the TV will try to default to the DVD all the time. Resetting the power (I use a surge protector) allows it to turn back on normally. Based on the comments I've seen this TV has terrible sound with DVD, doesn't want to turn on, and is hard to mount on a wall.

I would bet on the power supply....these (and other Akai LCD) are notorious for filter capacitors. Look for electrolytic capacitors with a dome-like bulge on the top of them. They are usually located at the top of the power supply board where the power output lines run out.
Hpe this helps you out....
