Question about RaidMax RX-9 ATX Mid-Tower Case

1 Answer

Fan Controller I recently switched out one of my two harddrives with a HD that had a corrupted OS to get the information off of it by booting to another disk. The project failed. When I first started up I noticed that the Fan Controller readout on the case wasn't working. I figured when I returned to my default setup it would fix itself, but it hasn't. Do i need to reinstall some kind of software or is the the begining of the end for my motherboard have recieved some kind of surge from the busted HD?

The case displays have nothing to do with the OS. You probably unplugged something when you were changing the hard drives :)

When trying to start my computer emachinesE627, i have a black screen that says error loading operating system

The computer can not see the Operating System. This can be caused by several things, so I will just list a few possiblities for you here:

If you have a USB flash drive or external HD plugged into the PC. Remove it while the computer boots. Some machines are set to boot from a flash drive and will search for an operating system on it and display NO OS if the bios can not find one.

If the Hard drive has been removed or replaced recently then the Jumper settings may not be correct on the new drive.

If the computer was having trouble booting periodically, freezing or experiencing blue screens before this message, then you may have HD corruption or possible disk failure. With HD corruption you only need to run chkdisk /p within recovery console in XP or run the Vista recovery center with vista. HD failure is a dead disk, no option but to replace.

Bad RAM or a dead CMOS battery can also cause this type of failure. So check these also.

This can also be caused by a damaged master boot record or primary boot partition. Run fixboot or fixmbr from the recovery console on XP or just run the Vista Boot Repair Console in Vista

Worm Viruses and Rootkits that damage the primary boot sector or the Master Boot Record can also cause the OS to mysteriously disappear. So if none of the above sound like they are for you, then you can try looking for one of these on the affected drive.

Hope this helps,
Gill

My computer will not boot it keeps restarting. Its saying it can not load hive file or its log or alternate. Its corrupt absent or not writable. Can someone help? Iwas thinking it might be the bios but not...

Open cpu cabinet and reattach the RAM memory.
Reconnect both connection to harddrive.
Most of the time this error comes because of RAM need reseat into it's position.
Then check if you still face same issue then you need to fix error on harddrive.
For that when you power up the computer press F8 key then enter into safe mode and if you able to enter in safe mode.
Then first remove temp files from computer.
Go to start->run or press windows key + R key then you can see run type in run "%tmp%" then press ok then delete all temp files then type in run "prefetch" press enter delete all prefetch files.
Type in run "chkdsk /r" then press ok then press "y" then restart computrer then it fix error on harddrive.
Also scan computer with updated antivirus then it works fine.
But if you are not able to enter in safe mode.
Then you need windows disk for that insert that disk into rom then enter in bios and set first boot device as cd/dvd rom then save settings and exit from bios .
Then it boot with that windows disk.
Then enter in recovery console then type "chkdsk /r" then it fix error then check if still same then again boot with disk.
Then follow the procedure on screen and choose options are when it ask for "Repair previous windows" .
Let me know if you need further assistance.
Thanks for using FixYa.

My Dell dimension 5100 on switch will blink yellow but will not boot up (on). When it did work, the switch would change to green.

boot files are corrupt or missing....
only repair of OS will rectify...
else
u need to reinstall OS...if
u have more then one logical partitions i.e. C:, D:, D: drive etc in ur HD then u can install one more copy of OS in either D: or E: and then when computer starts/boots u can chose from the multiple OS windows install to boot from.

Does not boot, or partially boots.

Boot failure, boot repeating , or partial boot is a common symptom of system corruption. Its may b coz f corruption of OS u r using. Go for format once. Nd do not go for persisting current OS. Just overwrite the current one, nd install a fresh one. If u r still sufferin, u shld be sure abt ur Harddisk. try bootin another HD on d same m/c. Otherwise, u shld count on d warrenty period of ur system.

Keeps rebooting

Sounds like the operating system could be corrupted, maybe try a restore to factory settings since its new? Try to hit "F11" on startup and do a factory restore to fix the possibly corrupt OS.

Dunno what happen??

When You Boot up your screen goes in to the windows xp loading bar and after a quick blue flashin screen pops up and it restarts unfortunately this is what they call the Blue Screen of Death so more than likely you harddrive with the os is corrupted so either you will need to reload the OS or by a new harddrive and load the Os on that Harddrive

HARD DRIVE PROBLEM.

If the first drive will get recognized on another computer but not yours it would lead me to believe that the controller on your motherboard went out. But the part about the non os drive not getting recognized at all leads me to believe that drve went out. First i would definately take the drive somewhere to have the info transferred or if you can hear it spin up you might get lucky and it will work after you get your os to boot. it wouldn't hurt to have it backed up though. Before you do anything too drastic try to get your hands on another drive and see if you can get your PC to recognize any drives, if not then you will need a new motherboard.

Boot problem

Was the operating system installed on another computer? Or a computer with different hardware? If so the drivers for the hardware are not configured properly on the HD or in the BIOS. If this is the case you should format the HD and re-install the OS.
