Did you disconnect the power before you stick something in there? Because the FDS Has power to it when the PC is turned off... You probably shorted out the mother board....

Motherboard beeps 2 long beeps upon start up ?

More then likely it's your memory or video card.

Remove the Power Cord, Open the Case and remove one of thememory chips. Set the chip aside then try rebooting the computer. If it boots, then you know the memory chip you set aside is bad so mark an x onit with an ink pen. If it fails to boot then move the chip to the nextmemory slot and try rebooting. If it fails take the chip out and set itaside, then put the other chip in and try booting it in both slots. If itboots, just to verify that the chip set aside is bad, mark an x on it and putit into the open memory chip slot and try booting.

Hello, I have an Acer 8920G laptop which uses the Jmicron JMB38X SD controller. My current operating system is Windows 7 and my problem is that even after a clean install of the Jmicron drivers my...

Windows 7 is the ONLY problem. I see this time & time again. Usually you do NOT need a driver for an SD card usually they simply "Show up" as a "Drive" in My Computer. They get "Detected" and and Windows will install a "Generic" driver. If they don't 8/10 they are faulty. See if you can get it to work an someone else's XP machine.. That will at least prove the card.see it with your own eyes.

I was about to install a PCI sound card TM P1018 in my cpu. How will i do it?

Shut down the computer. Unplug machine Disconnect all peripherals from the computer. Remove the cover of the chassis and lay computer on its side if it is a tower. Remove the back panel, if necessary. Locate the existing sound card if there is one already installed. If it is screwed in on the side of the slot hole, unscrew it and pull the card out firmly. 8If the computer doesn't already have a sound card, find an open slot. 9Knock out or unscrew the metal plate on the card's slot holder on the back panel. Step10Insert the sound card gently but firmly into the slot. Rock it into position if necessary, but don't force it. Don't touch any connectors on the card. Step11Connect cables from the CD-ROM drive to the sound card. Step12Replace the back panel and any removed screws. Screw sound card into slot holder if it has a screw hole. Step13Reconnect monitor, keyboard, and mouse. Connect speakers to the sound card's ports. Step14Turn on the speakers and restart the computer. Step15If Windows detects the sound card upon startup, follow instructions to install the card's driver and additional software. If Windows doesn't detect sound card, manually complete the installation using the Add New Hardware control panel. Step16Play music CD to test sound card. Step17Shut down computer. Step18Replace cover of computer. Reboot computer.

Fujitsu T4220 Flash Memory Drive

hmmmm.....

First of all try unmapping any other Drive that is connected.

lets say u have external harddrive and it had drive letter F:
When u put the SD it for some reason wants that Drive Letter and when it is occupied with some other device it will not show up.

Also u want to check the Bios settings if that card reader is enabled.
If u can open up the cabinet( Tower ) thrn check if the internal connection to Mother board are alrite.

HP PSC 1610 All-In-One - Memory card Error

Pulling out the card without using the 'Safely remove Hardware feature' risks corrupting data on the card. Reformat the card in the camera. Also with compact flash it is a simple matter to wreck the some of the tiny pins in the card slot. Check out both these and come back

TV signal lost

Have you had a look at the cords? Is there any damage to the hardware itself? Maybe there is something else wrong. Tried running virus scans? I know it's a long shot but it's amazing at what viruses do to your machine.

Video card is giving me problems

Make sure the videocard is set in the slot. You should remove and reseat the videocard. Then go to: http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp and download the latest video drivers from here and try installing them again. Old video driver can kill!!! Let me know what happens. Good Luck. Tim
