Make sure that your ipx and spx protocol is installed. It takes that to communicate with the router.

What do you mean it won't allow you to put in the home network passcode? When you click connect to your home network, does the password request come up for you to put it in? If not, you've got your settings wrong on the laptop

There are some configurations that allow you to put in the password and then are are some that allow you to use a pin. I bet you've got your connection in the laptop configured wrong.

I have a problem with the wirless internet on my dell inspiron laptop. I have tried getting a new usb adapter and it's still not working. I was connected to a DLink router before I moved out and the same...

your settings in the router at your new place may not match the settings in the old place. try typing or in your address bar and logging on to your router (this will require you to be manually plugged in with a cat 5 cable) default passwords are usually admin/admin or admin/password. check your settings to see if something is preventing you from getting on.

US Robotics Wireless Router problem

Sounds like some settings on the wireless router might be setup DNS. While hooked into wireless, try going to a command prompt and type ipconfig /renew. Once it refreshes, type in ipconfig /flushdns. Try the Internet.

If that doesn't work then check the settings on the wireless router and see if the DHCP is setup with a static IP or dynamic one.

Depending on what that says, I can provide next steps.

Can't connect dsi with d-link 2640r router

if it worked before and it doesnt now that either means you are too far away from your router or your router isnt pluged in on one of the plugs or there could be something wrong with your ds if none of the other sugestions work try following these steps.
1.turn on your ds 2.go to settings on your ds menu 3.when you get on settings click the right arrow 1 time and click on profile change your username and your message you dont have to change your color or your birthday.
it should work now. hope this helps!!!!!!!!!

Internet through wireless is not working

Check the settings on your laptop and in your router, make sure they are of same type If the router is set to DHCP make sure that your computer is not using static IP info...because if thats the case you may have the wrong DNS information entered and your computer .
Try to ping any website and see if it does, if not try to ping the IP address (yahoo).wd make sure if its a problem with the DNS.
if nothing works,
Finally - as a last resort -- try this tool

plz let me know whatever the result is..
Your feedback is appreciated

Wireless security

the WEP password is located on the label on the botom of your router. The WEP password prevents unotherize conecting to the network. If some one for example like your naber see your network and conects to but put in the wrong WEP they will not be able to use your internet.
