Re: Belt has snapped on turntable

It's probably relatively easy to change it. The problem may be actually GETTING the silly part.

Turntable does not turn, Replaced Rotating ring assembly still not turning?

It may be the servo motor that powers the turntable or the belt has snapped or come off. It is unlikely that you can get to the motor as the case is fitted with security screws. If so, you will need to take it to a service engineer.

The turntable on my NN-A554 microwave won't rotate, could it be the belt?

You require a new turntable motor. Easy enough to fit from underneath the cavity.
Ask a dealer for the turntable motor, they are relatively inexpensive.

Turntable isn't working on our microwave model PLMV168. My wife defrosted a large item that was to big to rotate and forgot to turn the turntable off. After that it quit working. Is there a belt that might...

The turntable system typically consists of the motor, the coupler, the turntable support with rollers, and the tray.

Here is a video of how a turntable motor should sound when you rotate it by hand.

If yours is not set to be off via the control panel, and it won't rotate or it sounds like it's grinding, etc., you may have a bad motor or plastic coupler.

To replace either, you need to unplug power, then remove the bottom cover of the oven.

LG Countertop Microwave why stopped rotating?

Microwave turntables are belt driven from a small motor.

Usually it is the belt that needs replacement.

Unplug, and remove the outer case to inspect the belt. If it is still tight and attatched, the chances are it needs a new motor - often it's cheaper to buy a new unit.
