WhatisnecessarytoconnectmySamsungNC10netbooktoalandline? I have the Samsung NC10 Netbook. I love it. I take it to my cabin which only has a telephone land line. My old computer can sign on through the land line but what do I need to buy to connect my netbook to the land line?

According to the manufacturer's web-site:

http://www.samsung.com/ca/consumer/detail/spec.do?group=computersaccessories&type=mobilecomputing&subtype=netbook&model_cd=NP-NC10-KA05CA&fullspec=F

there is no modem, and no PCMCIA slot, but there are 3 USB slots.

So, you need to purchase an external USB modem, such as this one:

http://cgi1.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280395590653

that is available on eBay.

Connect the USB port to your modem, and connect the other end to the telephone-line.

Hint: try it at home, before you go to your cabin, to make sure that the correct device-drivers have been downloaded and installed, and that you have the correct telephone-number for "dial-up" service to your ISP.

If you're running XP on it; any USB faxmodem should work. Get something similar to one of these:

Zoom USB Modem

US Robotics USB Modem

TRENDnet USB Modem

If your laptop does not have a modem built in, you can get something like a USB modem. You can get one of these for about 30 to 40 bucks. Check this one out from amazon and see if its what ur looking for

Provided the drivers for the webcam are installed correctly, as they should be if you are using the software that was provided with the NC10 netbook, then you just need to start an application that uses the webcam....Samsung provide a program called 'Play Camera' with their Windows XP build but you can also use a messaging program such as Yahoo Messenger which lets you share a webcam.

How much will it cost to get my samsung netbook nc10 fixed the bit where you put the charger in is broke help

Well, usually the netbook power jack replacement will cost around 100 dollars. Its pretty expensive. But if you are under warranty period, they'll cover the expense.

Check if you're under warranty period.

Hoping for the best. Thanks.
