Question about IBM ThinkPad T43 Notebook
How to increase the screen resolution of t43 if it says max resolution is 1024 x 768
I Agree and Disagree with Ikkenom. the IBM T43 came with two monitors resolutions as you can see here:
This means you may or may not be able to get a higher resolution. If you have a higher resolution monitor, and there is not option to go to a higher setting i would suggest the following, otherwise you are SOL
Depending on if you are running XP of Vista, follow the selected links and install the Video Drivers and Catalyst Control Centre, if you still can not achieve a higher resolution..
ATI Radeon/FireGL Windows Vista N/A 26 Apr 2007
v8.343-070209a-043671C Windows XP, 2000 N/A 26 Nov 2009
Try running windows updates, and going into hardware optional, sometimes i have seen a video update there for the higher resolution.
Hope this helps

That 1024-by-768 value is the MAXIMUM supported by the computer.
The only way to go to a "higher" value is to buy a newer computer.

click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
