My on screen display has gone small

What do you mean has gone small? You mean your icons are smaller?

Try changing your screen resolution. Right Click on an open space on the desktop and select Properties. When the Display Properties window opens select the Appearance tab. Look down at the bottom and you can make sure your Font Size is Normal, if not change it to Normal. Click the Settings tab and change your screen resolution. The higher the resolution, the smaller the icons. Size 1024x768 is what most people use.

You can also get to the display properties to perform the steps above by clicking Start/Control Panel or Start/Settings/Control Panel. Look for Display or Appearance and Personalization. Open it and the display properties window will open.

If you are using Windows 7 you can also just click Start and in the search box type Screen Resolution. Look up at the top for the search results and click on Screen Resolution.

If you can't get it back to the way it was you can try doing a System Restore. System Restore allows you to select a Restore Point (date and time) before you started having problems. So if you display went small yesterday, then select a restore point before yesterday.

System Restore does not delete your data, documents, music, pictures, videos or programs (unless the program was installed after the restore point you selected). To start System Restore click Start/Program/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore then select a data and time before you started having the issue.

If you are using Windows 7 you can just click Start then in the search box type System Restore and look up at the returned search results and select System Restore.

System Recovery on the other hand deletes everything and sets your system back to when your first purchased it.

I have a lg flat screen monitor, the words are blurred

Is it just the fonts that are blurry, or everything? If fonts only, then this almost certainly suggests that running the ClearType tuner again would solve the problem. But this applies to all displays, so if one is good and the other is not, then this isn't it.

If everything is a little blurry, then this suggests one of two problems -- the first, you report trying, which is that the display adapter is set to a different resolution than the native resolution of the LCD monitor itself. Your display adapter should probably be able to drive 2 monitors (the built-in laptop monitor and the external monitor) at once. You should be able to set their resolutions separately.

Assuming Windows XP: Start > Control Panel > Display > Settings > at which point, you should see two monitors listed in a dropdown. Set them to their native resolutions there (using the slider bar, usually all the way to the right), and save.

If you do have the display resolutions set to their native resolutions for both monitors, then it's possible that your external monitor is messed up. A quick test would be to run the on-screen settings, usually from a button on the monitor itself. If what is displayed there is sharp and what is displayed from Windows is not, then this points to a problem with the display driver. If everything, even the on-screen display is blurry, then perhaps the monitor settings are messed up -- usually there's an option to restore to factory settings -- try that.

PC Windows XP 2009 and my Resolution cant go back to original setting i have tryed reseting the whole computer and nothing. any suggestions?

Screen resolutions are a part of the display. Click Start/Control Panel/Display When the display window opens click the Settings tab. Look down near the center of the window and you will see the resolutions bar that you can slide our use you mouse pointer to make it change.

If it fails to change and you know when you started having this problem try clicking Start/All Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore. When System Restore comes up try restoring to a date and time before you started having this issue. Don't worry, System Restore does not delete any data, documents, music, pictures or videos. On the other hand System Recovery deletes everything and sets your system back to like it was when you first purchased it.

First make sure dispplay screen resolution is set to 1024*768 .
For that go to start ->control panel->display->setings set screen resolution to 1024*768 then apply .
If it is already set to 1024*768 then press menu button of monitor and increase horizontal and vertical position also put the picture in center first then increase both H and V position then it will give good display.
Also make sure display driver installed and working fine.
Let me know if you need further assistance.

Monitor turns on for a while

sounds like your refresh rate is too high for the monitor. try this:
after bios check press F8 immediately, then select "safe mood" and click no if ask if you want to restore. then set your display settings. righ-click on your desktop, click properties, click "settings" tab, set your "screen resolution" to 800 by 600 (safest resolution), click "advanced" button then click "monitor" tab and select 60 Hertz for LCD and 75 Hertz for CRT Monitor. Click apply and restart your computer.

try to look for documentation on you lcd display.. usually lcd displays have a native resolution and attempting to work with a different one, although possible, is not recommeded. if you don't remember what your previous resolution settings were try to use system restore by going to start>all programs>accessories>system tools>system restore and restore to an earlier time (no data will be lost) and if you go back before you install adobe design.. you may have to reinstall it again.

hope this helps.
