This model Maytag has a defrost control board and not a defrost timer. Your control board is located at the top of your refrigerator behind the display.

Where are the refrigerator fuses located for a Maytag msd2652keb

Hello;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service refrigeration technician.

There are no fuses in refrigerators. Individual component failure acts a fuse.

You are locked into defrost.

PART NUMBER: 67004704 - Cost: $116.00
This is located in the upper right inside your control box.
This replacement adaptive defrost control board (part number 67004704) fits several models of side-by-side refrigerators. The adaptive defrost control board starts and stops defrost cycles as the temperature of the evaporator rises and falls instead of on a set schedule.
Shut off the circuit breaker for the refrigerator before beginning this repair. Also make sure you're well grounded (Rub hands on bare metal), because electronic components can be damaged by discharges of static electricity. The board installs behind the digital display in the control panel. Procedures for removing the existing adaptive defrost control board and installing the new one vary among models.

No fuse are found on your model but sounds to me that your=> 12002495 Adaptive Defrost Control Board maybe defective. This board is located inside your fresh food compartment and behind the control panel above top shelf. Unplug refrigerator and remove board and examine both sides for heat or burn marks. Not cooiling on the refrigerator side

First I want you to look into back of the freezer compartment. If ice is building up on the rear wall we have a defrost problem. But the way you explained it sounds more like the auto damper part number Click Here=> 61005971 where there is no photo and in photo # 8 here=> MZD2766GEQ Fresh Food Section Contros We need to test it first by doing this test aslisted on section2-10 or in scroll bar at top of page 38. Click here=> MZD2766GEQ Behind the back wall of the Model MZD2766GES Freezer Compartment the defrost heater and defrost thermostat are in photo and listed in photo as part 12. That part needs to be check with an ohm meter to see if that is stopping defrost. Click here for that part Number 61006199 I would like you to see the parts breakdown Click Here=> MZD2766GES Freezer Compartment The most likely reason for this happening is and fresh food section is here=> MZD2766GES Fresh Food Section and part 13 in photo is 13 and that Part Number is Click Here=> 61005988 Adaptive Defrost

Maytag refrigerator, feezer side coil frozen and frigirator not

Defrost circuit failed, needs to be able to defrost the coils so air can pass through them thus cooling evenly. You can check the heaters located on the coils probably near the bottom back wall of the freezer with a ohm meter if you read through, the heaters are good, if you get no reading the heaters are bad. Or could be defrost timer or on newer models the adaptive defrost control which is a circuit board. If its an older model you can manually turn the timer with a screwdriver if you feel resistance, then you should replace the timer. Also in the circuit is the defrost thermostat located on the coils, this is the least expensive of the 3 components to replace. You should have a schematic located under the fridge, use this to determine which type of timer you have and for further trouble-shooting. Please let me know if this helps

Defrost timer board for mzd2766geq

Defrost control board is in the top of the refrigerator behind the two levers that control the temperature. You have to take off the plastic cover. There are two screws and then you slide to cover to the side to remove. The board is in a white plastic housing.

Maytag MSD2356 Freezer frosts up quickly, fridge warm

If you jumped the defrost board and it went into defrost then that board is bad. I assume by "freezes up" you are talking about the evaporator is frosting up? That defrost board puts it into defrost automatically. If you have to jump it to get it go into defrost then the board is not doing its job.

Maytag Refrigerator MSD2756DE Coils are icing up

Please disconnect power from your refrigerator before attempting the following! You will likely need an adaptive defrost board for your refrigerator. The defrost thermostat and heater is only available as an assembly and can be checked while the unit is freezing by checking the resistance with a multimeter. there should be some resistance to the heater assembly but not infinite. If the resistance is high then the heater assembly will have to be replaced. Your model has an adaptive defrost board located in the upper right hand back portion of the control panel in the refrigerator side. This cover is removed by placing your fingers in the 2 indentations at the back of the cover one on the left and one on the right and pulling down and forward. Once the cover is off there are a couple of screws directly above the lights which have to be removed and a couple of hex head screws behind the number faceplate and on the back wall near the water filter. Once these are removed the whole housing will come down the board is at the far back right. It will either be a bare circuit board or a small white box. Just unplug it and replace it with a new one. This will correct 99% of the defrost problems on this line of refrigerators.
