Okay Grehner, I suggest you to perform a complete alignment and cleaning/maintenance-service for this printer.ASAP...this will help you out with this particular problem during printing.
Do the streaks get fainter as you print more pages?
It sounds to me like have toner on your rollers/fuser.
Print out 10 prints from the printer and see if it improves.
If you remove the fuser wiper cover from the top of the printer and look down you will see part of the fuser roller (DON'T TOUCH VERY HOT) and check if there is toner on it.
Hey Chuck,
Any chance you can post a scan of one of the faulty pages ? This will make it easier to assess the fault.
Print off about 10 pages of a page that is affected by the lines. Look at each page and see if you can detect a recurring pattern over any of the pages.
If there is a pattern, chances are it is probably the PCU that is marked.
Without actually seeing a print sample or the machine, my bet would be on the black print cartridge. Even though it reads a an acceptable level of toner, the cartridge itself sounds like it has developed a proble.
1. It's the most obvious
2. It't the cheapest place to start. If it does not correct the problem, you can still use it later.
3. It's the problem in about 80% of these types of cases.
4. I know it should be fine, but if things didn't go wrong, I wouldn't have a job!
Let me know. If not we'll investigate further.
