Question about TruTech PLV16320 Television
Approximately four months ago, the screen suddenly went all red. Then the color was off terribly. The skin tones were either very orangish or just dark grey. After tons of tinkering things gradually got better. Then on Sunday night I heard a popping noise and the cable was not coming through. I checked the other tv to see if the cable was still operating and it was. First, I could only get three channels and then it went to one. I disconnected the plug from the wall and did the same with the cable wire and left it off over a day. Last night around 10:30pm I reconnected the cable wire and plugged in the power cord. When I turn it on, I hear the channel in black and white snow and after a few seconds there is nothing but the blue screen. I really miss my shows and I miss my tv. What gives? Can you help? Thanks,
PS Yes, it did come from Target last year 2006 for Christmas as a gift. The DVD part works great!
If you are using Direct TV or Dish Network call their tech support.
If you are on cable TV, call for a service man.
I would say that your TV has lost its sync separater chip and it shouldn't cost more than $60 dollars to fix, if the repair guy is honest. It's a 30 minute job.
