Hi,well price depends on what part you are fixing.Technicians do charge crazy prices. For instance if your tv was a dlp and you needed to replace the lamp the part will cost around $100.00 a technician will charge you $250.I recommend NESDA technician they are honest and dont charge you as much as others do.

Can the flash be repaired on a Panasonic luminx dmc zs1 camera?

Theresa,
It is worth asking this in a Panasonic Certified repair centre, because they want to see what is wrong in the first place. You also should be able to agree at above what they should not repair. First ask them what a diagnose will cost.
Not having the camera on the test bench, it is impossible to tell what it cost.

I really don't want to ridicule you, but your question to a technician sounds like my dog is ill, can he be cured and what will it cost.

Only the vet, can answer this question, after seeing the dog himself.

My 57" Toshiba projection TV recently started having picture problems. The picture is distorted and wavy. The picture on the PIP screen is fine. is this a common problem and is it fixable?

First bypass the cable box and hook the tv directly to the cable to see if the problem goes away. if the problem persists you possibly have a bad input board.

Hitachi 57swx20b Suddenly the convergence is out of wack, even the auto correct is messed up -- the blocks at top and sides are distorted. This was a sudden occurrence, connections are secure, broadcast tv...

you probably will have to change the convergence ic. normally there is 2 of those and repair would cost arround 200$
you have to try to solve this in the tv menu first and then consider a repair.

good luck!

Should i fix?

Well lets figure out what a 57 inch would cost you in LCD over $1,000.00 right now and that is for a budget one or $450.00 plus warrenty on the part and repair that will last for years to come. See with me being inthe business for 20 plus years and now helping you out for FREE giving you my advice would be FIX it but find someone that will give you a better price you will be glad you did!!!

I have a Hitachi 57 " rear projection TV, the screen is dark

Unfortunately it sounds like your CRT's ( picture tubes ) are getting weak. You have 3- red, green and blue. It would not be in your best interest to repair it because of the cost of the crt's and if we can still buy them. A lot of analog parts such as those are very hard to locate and is getting worse by the day.

Beaching symptom is most likely damage due to CCD chip problem. Unless the Panasonic has CCD advisory repair at no charge, cost of replacing CCD chip would be beyond economical repair. Cost of repair was going around $100 at www.camerarepairjapan.com , James.

Sony

ok.

this problem is usually related to the power to the blue gun. (this is a little complicated, even for a TV tech). it provides the blue overlay for the image.

you can also try to unplugg the cable for at least 4 hours, then it will (usually) reset all the voltages.

the last thing you can do is call a repair technitian to check the solder joints if they are "cold soldered", the circuit boards are defective or if there is a short. This should only be attempted if you are EXPERIENCED in electronics. the average cost to have a tech come and fix it is $400+ AND even then he/she will recommend sending the TV to a repair center, which then adds transportation cost. That may not be an option, considering there are new TVs out that cost double of the repair.

These are the logical solutions to your problem. If these do not appeal to you, Sony can also help you at 1-800-222-7669 or 1-888-772-7669 or https://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/contact-email.pl?

Hope this helps

MY panasonic NN-A554WBBTQ Microwaze stopped working. I took it to the local Panasonic Repair outlet an d I was told it's something called a magnetron that is damaged and that the repair cost would be too...

I would not recommend replacing it yourself. It requires special tools, safety protocol, safety inspection and leakage certification when repairs are complete. These are the things that professional servicers are trained hours for.
