I thought the battery was dead when I went to use my finis underwater mp3 player. Have only used it about 8 times since new. Hooked up to usb port like I have done before to charge and light flashes like it is charging. When I go to use it the start button will not turn it on. This is the second generation mp3 from finis so Is supposed to better than the first one which had lots of problems...thanks Randy

Possible that the device was in shelf for sometime and the battery had developed reverse emf. The best thing as a last resort is to drain out totally and recharge for a long time, discharge again and repeat this recharging process for some time. Sometimes it might change the cells to live. I hope my advise will be useful . Good Day
Try connecting your MP3 player into another computer, if you get the
same problem, then there could be a loose wire connections inside or
the program could be corrupted.
If the battery is completely dead, the MP3 player should turn on if
it's connected to the computer so I don't think that the battery is the
ONLY problem. There is another problem and that could be a loose wire
or bad component.
You need to contact a repair tech to check it for you.
I had the same problem and it took me while to figure it out, but I did. Thanks to a website telling me how to re-format the whole thing. I went to "my computer" and right clicked on "removeable device" and clicked on format. It should read "fat" not "fat32" then I clicked "start" and then when I loaded stuff on it worked. Good luck!
