Question about Acer Aspire 3000 Notebook
I have and acer laptop and i installed driver decetive on my computer but it has overwritten my cd drive, but it now wont let me re-install the it again!!
If that's the case what you can try here is to do a system restore on the date when everything was working, To do this Click Start>All programs>Accessories>System Tools >System restore and just select there the date when everything was working and follow the wizard. You can also try this one go to device manager and uninstall the CD drive and just restart the computer after to automatically reinstall the CD drive.........

Hello. I can assist you. If you are still under warranty contact Acer and have one of the techs talk you through a reset back to factory default settings. You will end up with virtually a new hard drive, of course you will have lost everything you added along the way.
If you are not under warranty, expect to pay about fifty dollars to have a reset back to factory default.
Good luck with it. Regards, Joe
