Question about Sony FD Trinitron WEGA KV-32FS120 32" TV
Hi, I bought my TV only on Sept./05. It will not turn on at all. LED light blinks 9 times, pauses, then 9 again. Is there anything I can do, or do I have to lug this big thing to a repair man?
Thanks in advance!
The set has a problem in the power supply, to be more specific it is the ZCD or zero cross detection circuit. The way you can tell is with the set off use the Sony remote and in sequence press the display then the 5 then the volume down then press the power button on the remote. The set should come on bypassing that circuit. The screen will come up with a diagnostic screen with abbreviations like HSTOP, VSTOP, LOW B+, etc. There will be one towards the bottom that says ZCD. The number to the right will be higher than zereo indicating the ZCD circuit at fault and yes a technician will have to repair that.
