to get all the detailed instruction to disassemble whole x box unit click this link directly 3 Ways to Clean an Xbox 360's Laser Lens:-- The Xbox 360 is a great console, but unfortunately it's not the hardiest console ever built. Early adopters quickly found out about the infamous red ring of death issue, and other technical problems have plagued the system. which can prevent the Xbox 360 from reading game discs correctly and cause an "open tray" error that renders your Xbox 360 useless. Here are a few different ways that you can clean the laser lens of your Xbox 360 safely, giving you more gameplay time and less maintenance headaches down the road.

1. Cleaner discs. Cleaner discs can be used to clean an Xbox 360's lens. They're available at most electronics stores, they're fairly cheap, and they work fairly well, as long as they're new, they don't have dust on them already, and you use them according to all of the instructions supplied. Usually, you'll just put them in as you would a normal CD, and then go to the Xbox 360's music player and hit play, then follow the instructions to clean the lens. You may need to repeat this process a few times.

2. Compressed air. You can use compressed air to try to spot clean the laser lens of the Xbox 360, especially if you're having the open tray error or other issues and you're not just looking for a regular maintenance clean. You need to be careful, though. Open up the disc tray of the Xbox 360 and use a compressed air can with a cleaner straw attachment. Spray with short, controlled bursts towards the general area of the laser lens, and take care not to stay in one place too long or you could potentially damage something. Don't tilt the can, and again, read the instructions carefully to make sure that you don't end up damaging your console. We're not responsible if you do! If you're careful and don't spray for very long at a time, though, you shouldn't have anything to worry about.
------ This will help. Thanks pleasekeep updated.please do rate the solution positively .thank you forusing fixya.

When game cartridge is inserted and NES powered on the TV screen flashes on and off and on and off, etc.

Try cleaning the cartridge with a q-tip dabbed in a little alcohol. And make sure your mouth is very dry (read no spit please) then blow into the console to dislodge any dust. This is what causes most problems in older consoles.

Best of luck

How to clean waste ink absorber for Canon pixma ip 1600

Use a cue tip with alcohol, make sure printer is unpluged and do not power it back up until all moisture is gone. I do this by sqeezing the tip of the alcohol first so it does not drip down into the bed of the computer. You have to work around alot of stuff in there. Use a long cue tip not the ones you clean your ears with.

Computer does not read CDs, but does read DVDs. The drive makes this repeated noise as if it is trying to read it, but never does.

This is a problem with the reading lens in your DVD combo drive. Suggestions: AT YOUR OWN RISK
Get a lens cleaner CD (Best Solution). If you dont have one grab a cue tip and some rubbing alcohol and dip the cue tip in it. Dab it a bit so it's not soaking wet with the alcohol. Then open dvd ram drive's trap and rub the laser lens with the cue tip. Test now.

If al fails, you probbaly need to get your drive replaced if its still inder warranty.

I'm trying to find out how to clean the laser lens on a 400 disc mega DVD player?

You need to disassemble the machine to see the laser. Take a cue-tip and spray windex on it. Take the cue-tip and clean the lens from the inside out in a circular motion. then immediately use a dry cue-tip to remove any excess moisture. Otherwise buy a cleaning disc...the wet variety. Good luck!!
