How to replace the battery in a magellan maestro 4370

Thats a fairly new unit and i doubt if the battery is shot already. it could be, but verify that is shot.
1st verify that its charging. hook up the home or car charger, then go into the main menu, then options, then power options and see if the battery indicator is moving left to right..if it is, its charging. if its not moving and shows a low battery, then its not charging.
if the meter is fully green and shouts off when unplugged form power, i would disconnect the battery then hook it back up and check the charging again
