Question about Samsung TXN2798HF 27" TV

1 Answer

Problem for Samsung TXN2798HF 27" TV Shuts off by itself after about 15 minutes. Sometimes longer sometimes shorter. Don't know much about the inner working of a television but I am pretty handy at fixing almost anything(never tried a tv). Is this something I can fix myself?

The power supply board is failing and needs replacing.replacing board is the easiest thing to do, lay tv down on a soft blanket(screen down), remove back cover and you will see the board. 4 screws and a couple of connectors and it is done. call 1-800-samsung to find the closest service/parts center to order board.

I have a Samsung led, high definition (1080i) bvd, srs tv, after about 10 or 15 minutes the screen goes blank but you can still hear the sound, if you turn it off and on it will work for around 15 minutes...

Hi, i have the same problem but not always at 15 minutes, sometime longer and sometime shorter. However it is the same symptom. I put a table fan right at the lower back of the TV and blow it upward at about 45 degree to make sure the air blow inside of the TV as much as possible. I used this way for a month and haven't had any black out problem. The only thing that you have to live with is your fan's noice. Good luck to your.

Problem with tv turning off by itself.

I had a friend with the same problem. He had to clean the components and fans in the set. The accumulated dust had caused the set to run hot and a safety switch was the tv off. He purchased a few cans of compressed air and, as he blew the components and fans out, used a vacuum to capture the blown dust. Good luck.
