I have a Kenmore dryer, model number is 11074602300 and it only works for a few minutes then stops. Can you assist me what seems to be the problems? Thanks. Kimberly

if the dryer just stops most likely it's the motor, the only way to tell is by starting the dryer until it stops and check with a meter to see if power is still going down to the motor, what happens when it stops and you start it again?does it run or is it dead, what happens if you move the timer by hand after it dies,is it on time dry or auto?try running it in different spots on the timer,it could be a few things.like i say you need to get in there with a meter to find out,i've found in most cases it's the motor when this happens but don't go out and get one and put it in until you know for sure,if you start it when it dies does it make a loud humming noise?let me know what you find, try moving the timer and try to restart it and let me know what you find

My dryer stops running after a few minutes. The fuse has been replaced and the repair man replaced the motor and it stills runs for a few minutes then stops. HELP!

Did you clean it out too? Check the venting for clog behind dryer or at the vent cap? Is the house breaker clicking off? Is the dryer motor humming or just stopping? Does it restart every time you try or do you have to let it cool down for a bit to restart? Need more info to be sure. You may have a bad sensor, but you'll need a repairman to check that.

Kenmore 800 dryer shuts down after running down to 40 minutes on the timer. When I restart it at that point it runs for about 30 seconds and shuts down. If I turn the timer back to 90 minutes it runs down...

Sounds like you may have a bad motor. If the motor is overheating it will shut down on its overload.

If its a shorted contact in the timer you could mark the spot where it stops and restart it again. It should stop exactly at that point.

Dryer keeps running and timer continues to move around dial.

Change your timer. It has a malfunction in it. it's about a 100 dollar fix. Also your start switch may be bad.

Dryer keeps running and timer continues to move around dial.

A common problem, had it happen to me.

Replace the timer control. takes about 15 minutes and the skill to remove screws, disconnect plug from old timer, remove timer, install new timer, connect plug, replace screws and panel, run dryer.

Reply the model number, and I'll get you the timer P/N.
