You can find third party screens on ebay and other similar websites. I personally have bought a couple screens from laptopaid.us They are a great ebay website.

If your LCD TV or monitor has stopped working, or is displaying one of the following symptoms, then it's a candidate for some new capacitors
- Flickering screen
- Screen image disappears after several seconds
- Dim screen
- Slow start
- Power LED on, but no picture
- Unusual colors and/or lines
The primary cause of LCD TV and monitor failure is caused by faulty capacitors. You can examine the capacitors in your LCD TV or monitor and actually see if they are bad.
If they appear bulged on top, then they need to be replaced.
New capacitors will solve a host of problems in LCD monitors and TV's and will extend the life of your monitor or TV by several years.
Check the cables, connectors and connections.
Take it to a repair shop.

Toshiba screen

There is a remote possibility that the cord connecting from the mainboard to the lcd has jumped of it's socket. It would mean opening the laptop, but worth the try.
If that is not the problem, you will need a new computer.

BROKEN LCD SCREEN

I have seen this with cameras, and pocket TV sets.

It is best to send the unit back for factory service. Ask for an estimate before servicing.

The parts in your GPS are not generic parts. You can buy the screen from the manufacture and find that the circuit board under it is also broken or damaged.

You may also find that the cost of the screen replacement may approach the cost of a new unit. I have seen this on many small devices. In some models the screen module comes as part of a complete matched assembly.

Dell insprin 6400 panel problem

You may have a failing LCD or just a bad inverter.
If it does need a screen you can get them on ebay for $100-$180 depending on condition.

You would probably have to have this tested in a repair shop...it will have to be disassembled and tested with a known good LCD.

Get a recommendation from a friend that knows a place that does good work on laptops. You should not have to pay more than 1/2-3/4 hour for disassembly and diagnosis.
