Question about HP Officejet 6310 All-In-One InkJet Printer

HP OJ 6310 All in One Paper Jam

My printer says there is a paper jam, but I have checked everywhere and there is not a paper jam. There is no paper anywhere in the machine. The warning will not go away even after I have unplugged and reset the printer. How can this be solved?

    I did check everywhere for the paper jam. I could not find any little pieces. I have unplugged and reset the printer. I pulled the cartigages out. Still nothing. I am not quite sure what to do now.

    Erroneous "Paper Jam" message. No jam in machine, no paper scraps. Cartridge will not go "home" when front panel is lifted.

    I recieved a paper jam notice, there is no paper anywhere to be seen? I continue to receife a carriage jam alert that states open door, clear carriage jam and then press ok to continue? I have performed this a dozen times and continue to receive the same alert?

    We purchased our HP6310 in Jan 2008. Carriage Jam started before we had printed anything. Followed steps that HP prescribes and they agreed it was a hardware problem. HP exchanged for a new HP6310 which immediately had the same Carriage Jam. Requested another replacement from HP. They promise to arrange help or a new printer, but they do not follow-up.

Check for a small piece logged inside, remove the toner cart and check that, take paper out and check under that

Hey,

The printer as a kind of lock at the back, just try follow the arrow drawn there to unlock the printer and to be able to clear paper jam, pls off the switch before doing that.

Paper jam message no paper jam cartridge gets stuck HP 6310 all in one


Paper jams can be tricky to solve. The paper is usually stuck inside the printer mechanism so even if there is no visible paper jam, you will still get the paper jam error. Try this:

1. Turn off your printer
2. Open all trays and remove any paper stuck there
3. Locate the button to open the printer, open it and remove any paper stuck there also.
4. Repeate the above step for all buttons that you can find to access the inside of the printer
5. Close all doors and put back all trays
6. Turn on your printer

there are a lot of paper sensor in it. i dont say buy new one , check sensors where they are and try to clean

There's a couple things that can cause recurring paper jams. Most often, all the pieces of the jammed paper aren't removed. This video shows you where to look to find all the jammed paper. It also offers some other solutions as well. If the solutions in this video don't work, the printer is likely broken.
