Air conditioners or refrigerators do not like to be switched on and off in a short period of time. You should allow a minimum of three to five minutes between switching either on or off or from heating to cooling.

Hi my samsung crt tv come up on start up but couldn't stay for more than few seconds before it goes standby. I've tried to check settings but could not even get anywhere before it goes back to standby

Whenever a television starts doing this the motherboard/main board and or power supply is usually at fault. The power supply can usually be rebuilt for around $150 depending upon the knowledge and skill of your local television repair shop. To replace the parts is usally more expensive then it would be to purchase another television ($300 and up). Are you sure this is the model number of your television because this model number is not for a CRT television. For troubleshooting you can unplug it overnight to try and power cycle it but it sounds like your problem is beyond doing any type of power cycle to get the television back going again. It would need the repair shop or to be discarded for another.

Soounds like the typical cold or bad solder connections somewhere in this set on the printed circuit board. Not the ez fix for a consumer. Must know how to solder and test solid state electronics

I mwas gonna suggest that you need the speakers attached but you stated later that it did the same thing with the speakers attached. The unit switching off after it checks its self is NOT a normal thing. TAKE IT BACK BEFORE ITS TOO LATE!! GOOD lUCK
