Question about GE Â 17.9 Cu. Ft. Top-Freezer Refrigerator
The fill tube at the ice maker will freeze up when you have a leaky water inlet valve. It's on the back where the water source is connected to the unit. You can disconnect the water line that goes up to the ice maker and watch and see if you have a drip. This water will go to the fill tube and gradually block the tube as it is frozen when it reaches the cold air in the fill tube. You may be able to clean the valve out or just replace it.
