Candy CMD146 Washer/Dryer

I have just installed this Candy machine for my daugher. The installation was completed exactly in line with the instructions supplied. However I was somewhat puzzled by the dryer side of the machine (no outlet for damp air or no drip tray for condensed damp air) and was not surprised when my daughter informed me that her clothes were not drying even after a 90 minutes drying cycle. Candy's technical people were not at all helpful. Can you please tell me what we are doing wrong? Thanks.

This machine has selfcondensing system. The condense water is beeing pumped out with the cooling water. The watertap MUST be open during drying. It also may be caused of overloading. The most W/D combos is just able to dry just the half of a full load in one time.

Cmd146 dryer heating top chamber but not in drum

It sounds as though the fan motor is faulty, usually these motors distribute the heat from the heater box into the drum. Because the heater box is getting hot I doubt if the fault is the thermostat so it may well be the motor or associated wiring

Candy CMD146 Washer Dryer drum spins but does not heat

Yes it could be the heating element. However, it could be the thermal overload switch. This is located under the top of the machine. Bypass it to see if works. If it does, then it is the switch. If not, check the element. It sounds like this is the element with the 2 yellow wires. You will need to pull it to visually check to see if it is burned in 2.Check the element first since you have easier access to it. Let me know how this works.

Candy CMD146 Washer/Dryer

Is the dryer electric or gas? If electric, the heating coil may have burnt out. If gas, check gas supply and then gas ignitor. Good luck.
