Open the machine once you have unpluged it from power sorce, Make sure it is hooked up. If not then go to the site and look the manual up and see where it hooks up on the mother Board and hook it up.

My headset is not working

it shows that the headphone may gone bad, or the jack of your pc needs repair, check your headphone to some other computer if it ok then go for repair the jack from some qualified technician

Problems with headphone jack


Replace the headphone socket of the TV. It has contact fault.

Having problem with audio, with auria tv (when unplug headphones, sound will not come back on tv)


The socket for the jack on the set has a leaf connection that when you insert the jack moves aside routing sound to head phones and cutting it off to speakers= the socket for the jack is out of position inside, either needs to be replaced or tweaked inside just a little.

Not much else can cause this if the headphones work.

Can 2.1 pc speakers work thru headphone jacks?


No it's not possible to have a sound. Because the HDMI and the Headphone (3.5mm jack) are on two different technologies.

The monitor does not have a way to convert the sound from HDMI to Headphone.

There could be a converter that might convert the sound signal from HDMI to headphone (but I'm not sure).

Sound only in right ear


Its either the jack or the connector in the device is the problem. You can try connecting other headphone, if this works, then the problem lies on the jack of the old headphone.

When using microphone sound also come from laptop sound on compaq


Leave headphone plugged in and restart the laptop with headphone jack plugged.
Unplug jack and restart again with no jack plugged.

This is a Compaq factory defect.

Sound is working but internal speaker is not working


Connecting headphones to the system will disabled the internal speakers until the headphone jack is disconnected, at which such time the internal speakers should function again.

If you disconnect the headphones and the internal speakers are not re-activated, then there may be damaged to the microswitch in the jack. (Try rebooting after the headphones are disconnected too)

No sound


See if it works with the headphone jack instead of speakers.

If the sound is intermittant on the headphone jack too then the headphone jack is broken causing the speakers not to work. You could probably find a place to solder the jack.

If it works fine on headphones then either the speakers are bad or the amplifier on the mainboard has failed.
