When I use my chainsaw the chain alway's comes flying off - please advise

not know what kind of chainsaw a fix maybe hard to do but here goes
1. be sure chain is right size for bar as in bar groove for chain right size, sprocket gear right size and chain right length for bar.
2. be sure bar is adjusted for length of chain and tighten bolts to hold bar in place
3. always have sharp chain teeth
be careful if still happening -- may be better to buy new saw

How to replace chain on chain saw?

you have to loosen your bar nuts. then there is a chain tentioner screw either on the front of the saw or on the side between the bar nuts. turn this screw until the chain is drooping fron bottom of bar. remove the bar nuts, cover, then the bar and chain. make sure the the cutters on the new chain face forward when installed. tighten tensioner screw until chain is snug against bar then replace cover and bar nuts. readjust chain if it is loose. lift unit from handle forcing tip of bar up. this takes away any chance of play in the bar.tighten bar nuts when satisfied that chain is tight. when properly installed you should be able to pull chain upward fron bar and the drive links should not come over the rail guide.

I fill the tank with petrol , not 2strike. i think i destroyed the piston. i want parts (pm 484 model)

cost you more to buy the parts than to get a new saw.and thats not even considering the labor which will be twice the parts cost. wrist pin ,connecting rod, rings ,piston
a lot of work with no guarantte that it will run or for how long it will keep running.
I just bought a new 2013 saw for $20.00 more that they wanted for a new carb for my old saw and went from a old worn 14 in
bar and dull , worn out & streched out chain to a brand new never used bar & chain which goes for38.95 at rome depot
so, if i take the price of a new bar & chain off the price of the saw,I got the new power head for only $40.00
I know, thats weird thinking----but not that far out there .

The only reason you should consider fixing your old saw is if its a like 100 cc or something that cost $995.00 only then would it be worth thinking about.

try this saw on for size.cpooutlets.com homelite 38cc,16 inch chain & bar with 3 point anti vibration handle ,8 hour cutting ,imcluding many breaks & no numb hands.
reconditioned ,60 day money back warranty $ 79.00 & ship
free ship for first time buyers if you sign up for internet fliers
only 9.7 lbs not much operator fatigue even at 65 yrs old.

Where is the bar oil adjustment screw for a stihl ms460

turn the saw upside down, there is a flat head screw adjuster that is accessible from underneath (the bar side of the saw) it will have a + and - sign near it.

Have a 137e husqavarna saw put new carb on and just fires and dies. Any help would be appreciated

Try when idle to adjust the carb settings. There has to be 2 screws to adjust the low and high. The low is for when the saw is in low at speed or when is not in use for cut. When you pull the handle to start cut then the adjust the high one at max speed.

If you need more help come back.Post / thumbs / testimonial are welcome!

I would like to go down A bar size our two on my poulan wildthing

I have a Poulan Pro 295 20".  When I bought it I also bought a 16"bar and chain and have been using those since.  They make the saw much easier to handle and are a better match to the available power. The key dimension is from the bar's mounting hole to its end.  At the store look at the normal replacement bar for your 18" saw, and pick out a 16" or even 14" bar with the same dimensions there.  This can be easily seen by laying one bar over the other.
