DPGT750GC Heating Problem

I went through all the tests and the only test that did check out was the Ignightor, I ordered a new one and it ran the DAY WILT TEST and when the cycle first starts it meets the TIN(target) temp of 430, and the TOUT(target) temp of 160 is met. About a minute after these temps are met, it cycles and cools. I have good blower speed and then it tries to warm up again to no avail. Also it acts this way no matter if I have the vent line connected or not, I did that test to see if there was an exhausting problem. There are no blocked lines and I also vacuumed the inside of the drier and it's cleaner then the day it was new. Any idea what might be the problem, or next thing to check.

With these GE Harmony Profiles, the blower is the problem in same situations about 95% of the time.

First use the dryers service mode and see what trouble code you are receiving.

It's called "Field Service Mode"
1. Press the POWER key to turn the dryer on.
2. Press HELP. The main help screen is displayed.
3. Press and hold MY CYCLES and BACK simultaneously for 3 seconds. Press EXIT to return to the HOME screen.

There's a 95% chance that it is your blower and your dryer should confirm that.

I just recently replaced the blower in my GE Profile Harmony as well. While I had my dryer apart, I also cleaned the heck out of it. Excellent opportunity to take your vaccum cleaner and get all of those dust bunnies out!

I purchased the blower from for about $146 S&H included.

SOURCE: No heat and No blowing

Clogged lint filter, exhaust vent or outlet would reduce air flow but there would be some heating unless a high limit safety switch has tripped and needs to be reset.  There may be aa air flow switch that prevents the element from heating up if no air is flowing.  Blower wheel may have broken off at connection to motor shaft.

An easy way to see if the eliment is working is to remove the exaust hose.. Put a mirror near the opening to see if it is getting hot & red..
Depending on what type of exaust line in the house.. If it is the type that goes to the roof - or a long path to the outside exit - it could be clauged.. Be sure exaust hose is not kinked..

The evap fan is running - but is your compressor motor running -t his is what i'm concerned about - 82F ? That is very high - this suggests to me there is no cooling AT ALL - only the fans are working - and my gut tells me your compressor is not running AT ALL - I would rule out thermostat since when it kicks in and your evap fans turn on, your compressor should turn on too. If this fridge has electronic controls, have your motherboard / control boards checked, have your compressor checked. If your compressor is running and you can hear its distinctive humming sound, then you have a sealed system problem, a major one :) Have those two things checked.

I have had the same thing happen with a Canon. I was talking to someone 1 day & they had heard of a case where an electronics wiz had the same problem. Hi Josh, I'm glad to help!

First off, before I even thought about replacing the PCM, I'd first check the FUSIBLE LINK at the back of the alternator it's a big green wire, if its not blown then the next step would be to take the Alternator off and have it checked at Autozone, if it checks OK then your next step would be to check all RELATED Wiring and Connectors for the charging system. If the green fusible link is blown you can buy the wire and replace it. If after checking all other possibilities and all is good then and only then would I replace the PCM. The PCM can be checked for regulator issues with the correct scan tool. Hope this helps and have an awesome day Josh.

This is an interesting problem and it requires some testing equipment to see what the problem is. You have to check the heating coil if it is a washer that heats the water. You also need to check the control board and some other things to see if you can locate the source of the burining smell. To perform these checks requite some test equipment like a meter.

that will take and hold a charge

Problem with 1989 Ford Mustang 5.0 LX

See if that model has a fuel pressure regulator. Fuelpump Relay could be stuck in running Mode too. Check fuel pressure test port.

Some idle stuff is affected by sluggish Thermostat also rich run condition.. Also O2 feedback to reduce rich mix.

Check engine and brake booster, EGR diaphragm for Vacuum leaks. Use a spray bottle of water while engine is running and see if rpm changes when hit the leak.

Ge medallion 850 new elements and thermostats still not heating up

see this possible causes:
1) You must shure the heating element show continuity see the video>

2) Test for continuity the thermosta see the video how to do it

3)TEST THE thermal fuse, for open and replace.
4) Test any WIRES for loose, or broken or burn and repair.
5) If anything is o.k see the diagram. You must test the contact from the a) Timer for open, or dirty, or wires loose, broken or burn b) Test the selector temperatur for defective in order to get the heating element to work, and replace if necessary. God bless you

Having cold start problems 2006 h.d. f350 ,truck is parked in heated garage all night,starts normal in the a.m.,sits outside all day at work,soon as temp falls below 30 F it starts then stalls immediately...

glow pug indicator and glow plug themself are 2 seperate system
test for power at the glow plug harness conector 1 each side over valve cover
test light clamp on batery neg test each wire going to relay for power on both side
then quick check on glow plug end test light clamp on positive test all wires
going to glow pug on each side f this does ligtht up the test light system should be o.k.
for the FICM i have used a hair blower on hi to warm the surface of if to start up a few of
these motors to get them back to the yard for replacment afterward
run a ffeet of these from 250 to 550 lots of problem and work 26 units
