    Another option

The updated sRGB Display and sRGB Vivid color tables for the WorkCentre will help with the following issues that have been found with the original factory color tables.

    • RGB images contain too much yellow.
    • RGB image red shades are too orange or too light.
    • RGB object blues are too dark or aqua.
    • CMYK objects use the sRGB Display color table when the Automatic TekColor correction is used. After the updated color tables have been downloaded to the WorkCentre, the CMYK objects will use the Commercial Press TekColor correction when Automatic is used as the TekColor correction.

NOTE: The new color tables will only take affect when using the Enhanced or High Resolution / Photo print quality mode.

To update the RGB color tables:

    1. Click on the [Drivers & Downloads] link under the Product Resources menu on this window to download the updated color tables to a known location on the computer's hard drive. The color table update file is located under the Color Profiles section on the Drivers and Downloads page.
    2. After the file has been downloaded to the computer, send the file to the WorkCentre. See the Related Items below for additional information.

    1. Print the Diagnostic Test Pages. The test pages will be used to determine if the printhead is performing properly. See the Related Items below for additional information.
    2. Evaluate the test pages. Using an ink stick, make a mark of color next to each of the colors printed on the page. If the colors do not match, that color will need to be purged from the printhead.
    3. Create a job consisting of a full page (100% fill) of the color not printing correctly. For example, if Cyan is actually printing Black, the job should be a solid fill of Cyan.

NOTE: Set print quality to 'standard' and the TekColor Correction to 'none' in the properties of the print driver. This will allow the job to purge only the problem color. Other settings may cause the printer to use a percentage of the other ink sticks.

    4. Print approximately 50 - 100 pages of the job, as necessary, until the printed color returns to normal.
    5. Use the table below as a reference for the required resource files. See the Related Items below.

Ok there are other things that can be done.
That is the place to start.

The red comming out orange is common.

Sometimes you can also have bad ink sticks. The ink sort of cooks in the ink loader and becomes an off shade.

Phone Jack Wiring Problem

Your apartment is wired for two lines but you are using only one of the two. Your phone jack has red and green terminals for one line and yellow and black terminals for the other (old color codes). The four wires coming in to your apartment are actually two lines: orange/white and white/orange plus blue/white and white/blue (new color codes). One of those lines is active. Connect the orange/white wire to the red terminal and the white/orange wire to the green terminal. Plug in your phone and listen for a dial tone. If no tone, disconnect the first line and connect the second pair of wires. Listen again. DO NOT CONNECT ANY WIRES TOGETHER. Just follow the steps above. If you still don't get results, the phone company may not have activated your connection

I got a car stero with a cd player, the one I am taking out was

THe speaker wires from "new" radio will be in pairs ie;GREEN/ RED/ GREY / , They look like they are the same color but you will find a "tracer color" on one of the paired wires, ie plain GREEN / GREEN with a thin black stripe etc. The single Red will be Battery power the Orange will be Ign / accessory for the radio station memory. the other wires will vary but should be (possibly) panel illum/ power antenna/ aux power and ground wire . The radio will ground off the antenna connection .but should be connected at a later time . good luck .

When I print color, the page has a lot of extra toner.

Start with this
  1. Make sure to set the Print Quality mode in the print driver to "Standard" and the TekColor Correction to "None" before performing the next step. This will allow the job to purge only the problem color. Other settings may cause the printer to use a percentage of the other ink sticks.

  2. Print approximately 50 - 100 pages of the document, as necessary, until the printed color returns to normal.

Next. This is on xerox.com downloads and drivers.

HP c3180 color printing problems

I would definitely start by printing a self-test page. With your model press and hold the Cancel button and then press the Start Color Copy button and then release both buttons. When this page comes out you should be able to identify the 4 different color sections...black, cyan, magenta and yellow. If any of these seperate areas are choppy or non-existant, you need to replace your cartridge. Here is a link that will show you examples of what you should/shouldn't see on the self-test report.
