Hi.
sounds like there is either something inside the drain pump filter thats hitting the drain pump impellers or the drain pump itself is failing.

You should have a bottom plynth (you didnt give model number so cant confirm 100%) . Make sure appliance fully drained. Remove plynth and you should see a filter unit. With a few towels to hand unscrew the filter and using a torch have a look inside to see if there is something catching the drain pump.

Hope this helps

Frigidaire Front load Washer Does not spin (Drains fine, Water comes in fine)

Hi John - Often when a unit does not spin, it is because the unit cannot properly drain and dispose of the water and detergent solution. The humming noise is mainly caused due to the drainage hose/pump possibly being clogged and needs to be cleaned. If not, the washer may be experiencing another possible issue with the faulty pump, timer or control board not communicating correctly. Because it could be a number of any one of several underlying causes, I would recommend contacting a professional to properly diagnose and repair the unit.

I have the ATR6700FS1 front load washer. It goes fine until the spin cycle. It pauses & when I hit restart it makes a noise & doesn't spin. If I hit cancel & go to the spin cycle it

Hello Deanna Lytle - Often when a unit does not spin, it is because the unit cannot properly drain and dispose of the water and detergent solution. Does the unit make a humming noise? If so, the drainage hose/pump may be clogged and needs to be cleaned. If not, the washer may possibly be experiencing an issue with the door lock assembly, faulty pump, timer or control board not communicating correctly. Because it could be a number of any one of several underlying causes, I would recommend contacting a professional to properly diagnose and repair the unit.

Frigidaire front load washer that will not start . it just buzzes. when it does start it stops after washing and leaves water in clothes asn buzzes.

it could either be a bad door switch or something stuck in the pump or a bad pump.if you set it to drain/spin will it drain out the water or does it buzz there?if it does drain i'd have to say you have a bad door switch.the model number you sent doesn't come up,you can unplug the machine, remove the hose that goes to the pump or run it before you unplug it and see if it's the pump making the sound or if the center of the pump can be removed to clean out the pump and check the pump for coins and junk, use a shop vac and vac out all the water in the tub and then lossen the hose or center of pump until water starts to leak out and vac it up as it comes out, check the pump and put it back together, add some water with a bucket or something and see if it drains out,if it doesn't drain and it sounds like the pump is making the noise you have a bad pump,if it buzzes and it's not the pump change out the door switch.the buzzing is electrical, things that could make this sound are the motor, the solenoids on the water valve or the door switch,if you can do some checks like see if it drains or try to find where the noise is coming from would be helpful.good luck and i hope this helps you out.

Washer makes noise but, wont drain or spin

Check the lid switch (the part that gets pushed down when you close the lid). Try pushing it down with something. If you do not hear it make a CLICK sound, then it needs to be replaced.

Note: ALWAYS unplug appliances before attempting to make any repairs!!

Loud noise, then not so loud, but now electrical burning smell and little draining

the smell is your clutch and the lack of draining is a clogged washer drain protector. see these at www.repairclinic.com drain protector is part 541811 and clutch is 2670. go there enter model number and scroll down to the red 100 click it and look for these part numbers.

LG Intello wm-1460FHD stops spinning during the wash load.

OE is a drain error (indicating the machine has not drained out in under 10 minutes). If the drain pump is not coming on at all then you have a bad drain pump motor. If it is trying to drain then you may have a clogged up drain hose. The most likely cause is a bad drain pump motor. Hope this helps.

Advice: Repair call now or later?

If the sound is coming from the bottom of the washer, that's your drain pump. If there is an obstruction the pump, you will experience slow drain issues and problems with the cycle starting properly and being able to spin out correctly. Normally, there is an "F02" error code associated with this problem, though. This may be just a symptom of some of your problems and NOT the cause. But...I would recommend you check the drain pump reservoir first to rule it out. The following link explains how:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r385845-checking_drain_pump_in_whirlpool_duet

The pump will shut off if you push the PAUSE/CANCEL button. The noise will also go away on its own during the wash cycle when it is not in use. It is normal for the pump to make some noise. That has been a common complaint about this washer. If the noise gets progressively worse AND you notice problems with drainage, I would recommend a replacement pump.

I do hope you find this information helpful. Let me know if you still require assistance.
