Looks Like Ink splatter on my TI-83+ screen!

Help! Borrowed my friends TI-83+ and I opened up the case one day and there were random dots (looks like ink splatter) in the middle of the screen. It did not get wet or anything and I have no clue what happened! They are even there when the screen is off! Can I fix this? Thanks!

I borrowed a calculator from my friend but he can't find his manual and I don't know how to navigate it, is there an online manual that I can use?

There's two Ti 83/ti84 manuals right here at FixYa. All you have to do is click the home tab, and go down to "Manuals, and Guides" and enter in the manual you want, and it will take you right there.

Hello,
1. Press [2nd][QUIT] to interrupt any program that may be hung in memory such as games run under MirageOS.
2. Clear the screen by pressing [CLEAR].
3. Reset memory [2nd][MEM][7:Reset][1:All Ram][2:RESET] [ENTER]. ram cleared appears on screen.
4. Press [CLEAR] to go to Home screen.
Hope it helps.

Frozen, 'snowy' screen...HELP!!!

The only solution that I can think of that might work would be connecting the Ti to another Ti of similarly close models and use the "sendOS" function on the working one, this should reset the crapped one to a functioning setup.

This does require the special wire they have for connection 2 calculators together... probably can get it on ebay or something if you don't have it already and just borrow a friend calc in class or something...

If you need more help you can reach me at saik0[dot]com or Saik0Shinigami{at}gmail[dot]com

My ti-83 plus has OS problem

That happened to me a few years ago - my friend tried to give me his operating system, and my calculator was all locked up like that for a while. There's some kind of reset code - pressing some buttons while putting a battery in - but it's been a while, so I don't remember which buttons.
